Clark's, always known in the UK and America for their comfortable, Hush Puppies style shoes, provided me with my most fashionable, triangular wedge shoes of last season.
Every time I wore these shoes, I got compliments. I had gone into Clark's to get some sensible, comfy shoes for work, only to find they had some really on-trend styles that were unique and not seen elsewhere.
It's really known as an older ladies' shoe shop, but the last time I went in there, there were some women my age cooing over the latest styles and fashions. Their boots particularly have come a long way from the "toffs horse riding club" reputation Clark's have built up over the years.
The Bullring shop is no exception, and has a large stock of all the styles I've found online and went to try on. Obviously, all their shoes are leather, great quality and fit a rather narrow ankle like mine.
The sales staff at this Clark's are very helpful and never seem put out rushing back and forth to find the exact colour and size customers want.
The last time I was there, I was helped by a particularly sweet, switched-on young man who had a nice chat with me while I wiggled my toes.
I'm forever impressed by people who can deal with feet all day and not get jaded. They deserve a medal. read more
