I'm sorry I didn't meet Joe and retain him before the case manager in my brother's guardianship…read morehearing did. Joe was clearly the only one in court, beside me, who had any concern for the well-being of my brother. The case manager, who was assigned at the last minute and who didn't even have the courtesy or professionalism to call me prior to the hearing to introduce herself and tell me she was replacing the case manager who I had been working with for months, and who I expected to be there, had no game plan at the hearing. She never even bothered to introduce herself to me in court, prior to being called up. I was dumbfounded and confused, which didn't help our case. I've never been to court before, i was already nervous and I was speechless at the hearing, feeling left high and dry by the social workers who were supposed to be looking out for the best interest of my brother. Joe seemed to realize this as the hearing progressed. He was very familiar with the case and only because he was so insistent in his presentation to the judge, is there still a slim chance that my brother may actually have a guardian appointed in the future, who actually cares about his well-being. I'd hire Joe in a NY minute.
