This year we had to enroll our sophomore into a new school. We were open to having him attend any…read moreschool in this town but in the end decided to go with the one we were zoned for as they had classes of interest like guitar and theater. We were hesitant due to reviews we had read elsewhere. At the end of the day we remembered that every person has their own experience and is able to create it for themselves by focusing on the good. We are so glad we chose this school. There are teachers there like Ms. Miner, Mr. Jesperson, Mr. Bisceglia and Mr. Levanger that really engage the kids and care about what sparks that interest and passion in life. My kid didn't want to go to a new school and make all new friends...but we did the best thing before the school year which was sending him to CSL camp (www.lasvegascsl.org) where kids can spend a week making new friends in a spiritually based environment, reminded just how great they are and do things like forgiveness work, showing love and compassion and more....can I say he came home a changed kid, ready to start in a new school, with a new attitude of hope and excitement. It was the best decision we made and he went from a kid that had grades like C's D's & F's to a kid with majority A's and a few B's! On a personal note, our kid is part of the LGBTQ community and thankfully Ms. Burke was the icing on the cake. Her afterschool club is wonderful! He went from a kid that was originally going to count the days til he could transfer back to his old school to a kid that said last night, yeah....I don't want to go back there, I'm staying here #shook

Well they do have vending machines with good choices for snacks but I feel are kind of expensive to some degree. Also 1 vending machine for cash. Overall, I came here for my daughter's Volleyball game and it is a beautiful school with a small gym but very clean. I like how there was also a food truck there as well. The only reason why I did not give it a 5 star is because the parking stalls are a bit compact (and being that I am originally from Hawaii, we have compact stalls there) and someone scratched my car when they opened their door.

Normally events like this is like herding kittens. The school seemed well kept and clean. I did also have experience with the children pick up and drop off. I visited Escobedo Middle School for a CS training class through RPDP. It was my first time there…read more I did not see more than the 800 building, but what I did see was nice. The front parking lot is large and it was easy for me to park the truck. I walked in and the halls are wide and tall and decorated with positivity and team pennants. The colors are light and bright. The room we used for our class was well equipt to accommodate plugging in a couple dozen Chromebooks/ laptops. Chairs were comfortable. The big screen computer on the wall allowed us all to see the slide decks. Sound system was great. Bathrooms were large, clean and appreciated. The building manager was able to make sure the water was on for us right away when the class started. It was a good day! Thank you Escobedo MS for lending us your facilities.

Not acknowledgment. Not follow-up. Not even the courtesy of a reply. When school leadership chooses silence over action, it sends a clear message about priorities. Because the principal failed to respond, I was forced to escalate the matter to the superintendent, a step that should never be required for a parent advocating for their child. The lack of communication, urgency, and responsibility shown in this situation reflects a broader problem with administrative leadership. Parents should be deeply concerned about how issues are handled when they arise and whether school leadership is willing to do its job. This experience was disappointing, alarming, and entirely avoidable.

From my baby's teacher, Ms. Vogel, to the assistant dean and head dean, Mr. Gibson, the communication has been absolutely amazing. Any concerns we've had have been handled with so much understanding, respect, and care. 3 classes without permanent teachers one of which has had over 6 subs since the year started a few…read moremonths ago and a highly disorganized administration has made this year beyond frustrating. Coming from CCSD this may seem like a better choice but at least with CCSD there are policies and procedures in place that are communicated in a timely manner which just isnt the case here. Everyday feels stressful for my child and I, and if you are lucky enough for someone at the front desk to answer the phone be prepared to never receive a call back from the appropriate person you're trying to reach or clear resolution on the issue.
