I know my symptoms dramatically decreased but my Department Chair and Advisor were astounded at what a dramatic turnaround I had in performance. Dr Goodman has always asked relevant questions and listened to concerns during each appointment. Some medical professionals do not explain issues and the patient has no part in their own treatment. I was able to discuss my treatment plan and my progress that was reviewed by both of us. I am very happy with my treatment and experience. What's even more concerning is that this does not appear to be an isolated incident. Other family members and callers have reported being placed on hold for extended periods (15+ minutes) and then having their calls abruptly disconnected without explanation. If a patient is unavailable or there are communication restrictions, that should be clearly communicated. Repeatedly placing callers on hold and disconnecting calls creates unnecessary stress for families trying to check on their loved ones. For a facility that provides mental health care, a higher level of professionalism, communication, and empathy should be expected. unfortunately, my experience has not reflected that standard.
