The staff and students all make you feel welcome, appreciated and at home. I haven't' started classes yet but the registration process was a snap, all thanks the the personal attention I received. I know I'm not just a number at TU but an individual. All of the staff I have had to deal with know who I am, my situation and are eager to help with whatever questions I have. If you're thinking of becoming a student here, just stop by for a visit. It really is an amazing campus and it's filled with some of the friendliest people I have ever met. I will update my review after I have finished my first Semester at TU with impressions and experience.

The only downside is that when I roam the halls at night humming creepy tunes and screaming, the custodial staff seem to think I'm some sort of ghost. Great place overall though, I wouldn't rate it less than 5 stars as every place has it's downsides

Tulsa Girls Art School is so amazing! It is one of my favorite nonprofits. They are an afterschool…read morearts program that girls start to attend in third grade and continue to do so until their senior year of high school. Essentially, they provide continued support and wonderful programming throughout the span of 10 years of their lives. They not only provide the space, but also transportation, supplies and instruction. What is even cooler is that the students have many opportunities to sell the artwork they create throughout the years so they're also learning about finances, art show curation and public speaking. When a piece of artwork sells, they put 30% of its proceeds into the student's individual micro-savings account. Senior girls receive 100% of their sales. These earnings allow the girls to save money for art supplies, education materials or college. Finally, a great way to support them is by attending their annual gala, usually held at the end of October or beginning of November. It is by far the most creative fundraiser and it is always very fun. You will also have the opportunity to purchase amazing artwork.

The Wilson Teaching and Learning Academy is Tulsa Public School's professional development center…read morefor their teachers, educators, school leaders, staff, employees and community partners. They host a variety of meetings, trainings/workshops, conferences, retreats and other events here throughout the year. I love using it because it's a great space. The rooms are well-equipped with technology (screens, laptops, projectors) and support services. Their fees to use their rooms are much lower than other facilities, especially because they have non-profit rates available. They also have a variety of rooms available, including an auditorium for 300+ people, two computer labs for up to 28 people, assembly hall for 200+ people, and meeting rooms for 30-50 people. To reserve a room, you have to first register their online reservation program. Once the registration is approved, you can then login to submit your request online. They also have a community calendar available on their website.

I absolutely love Central! Finding a home church is one of…read morethe hardest things to do when you move to a new city. My parents immediately loved Central and all it stands for, but most of all the fact that they live out their purpose. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming. I didn't feel like I was invisible when I attended the first couple of times. Without fail, someone introduced themselves to me and asked about me. Pastor Steven and his wife are some of the most loving people I have ever met. They are genuine and caring. The rest of the church staff is great too. They're always looking for new ways to reach out to the community. Our fall county fair is coming up and they are hosting a concert as well. Central is also a host church for Bible Study Fellowship and have a Hispanic ministry as well. For updated info on events and activities visit: www.centralchurch.tv
