Lots of people piled in and we thought we had to leave but the bartender said not to worry about it and the bride and groom were kind about it. This is Little Compton's most southern point with westerly views of Middletown and Newport and a southerly view of the lighthouse. Sakonnet Harbor is postcard prefect and has a launch for kayaks or canoes at the beginning of the breakwater. This is truly a RI gem and a must see.

Sitting directly on Narragansett Bay, just south of the Newport Bridge, you would be hard pressed to find a nicer spot. The wait staff here really knows how to make their guests feel special. The menu is large and if you have a particular type of event in mind, they will help make it happen. From fairy tale wedding to baby shower tea, or cocktail party, they can handle it all. They are even available for business meetings. If you are a member of a private yacht club with reciprocity, bring your member ID card and have lunch on the water in the summer or rent a mooring for a night or two. Call the General Manager to plan your event, or the office to rent a mooring and find out more about reciprocal dining.

Additionally, when asked questions regarding the menu, she seemed to be unable to provide useful knowledge or answer questions without assistance. Again regarding COVID concerns the tables in our "tent" were way too close to each other and seemed to be seated past capacity guidelines. Overall, my visit to this establishment was not what I had hoped for given the good things I have heard about their food. It should be their priority to resolve these issues with their management in order to try to maintain member satisfaction because I expected more from a private club.

We completed an application online and left a payment. One of our close friends was then contacted as a reference. Next thing I knew we had a home visit scheduled which turned into Spike's first night at our home and a member of our family. It was an easy process and we have a kitten that is very easy going and great with our kids (but not so great with our shower curtain but that's just catnanigans!)
