The facility itself offers a lot of services that many others do not- X-Ray, full lab, minor surgical procedures, tests for Flu, Strep, RSV, UA, vaccines, sutures, IV hydration, EKG, etc. Not only have I had a great experience as a patient, but I did my clinical hours there for CCMA as well, and I learned so much thanks to people like Mary, Kayla, Muhammad, Sarah, and others. Today, Dr. Simon examined my daughter, and I understand you need to get close to do an examination, but he had his legs spread and was so close to her on the chair that her knees were touching between his legs. He stayed like this even after the examination while he was talking to me, and this made me very uncomfortable. In hindsight, I wish I had asked him to move, but was just kind of waiting for him to and he never did until the very end of the appointment. The worst part, is that while he was in that position, he asked my daughter how she got sick. She explained that she thought she got it from her best friend, a girl in her class, and he said, "I know how you REALLY got it. From your boyfriend." And leaned in towards her face and made a bunch of kissing noises. I couldn't believe he would say this to a six-year-old girl. It was wildly inappropriate. Not to mention, he grabbed my hand while it was rested on my lap while explaining my daughter's treatment to me... Until now, this has been a truly wonderful practice. I've always been happy with the treatment my daughter has received, but this situation made me so uncomfortable that I'm switching to another provider immediately.

Serious issue, called Georgetown Urgent Care again and also talked to the same lady! She said I will see what I can do, in a Friday! She Called BACK! She had an appointment for me The next work day, Monday! All said and done, 3 visits, bloodwork, CT scans, a scope procedure, then the big one! A tumor removed, ALL before my doc could have gotten me a first appointment! All I can say is, Thank You Georgetown Urgent Care and My now favorite APRN Ashley Smith! She went well beyond anything near normal to help with my issue!
