CJD E-Cycling to the rescue.
I have been accumulating outdated electronics and it was time to get rid of them. I had two not smart flat screen TV's, DVD player, 100 CD Player and a Tuner. I just kept putting them in a closet in my garage. Out of sight, out of mind. Now that I am moving to a new condo, I am finally getting rid of them and doing it the right way.
I Googled and checked Yelp for electronic recycling and found CJD. They were just a short drive to Edwardsville, so I timed my drop-off around lunch, so I could eat at a favorite restaurant. Making it a win-win.
I loaded all my outdated electronics into my RAV4 and drove to CJD. When I arrived, I just followed their simple signage. The signs guided me into a large garage/shed. I pulled in, popped open my tailgate and a worker came and unloaded my electronics. He took each item and put them in different bins to what type of electronic they were. Once all my items were unloaded, I was good to go. They took all of my items at no cost to me.
The associate who I dealt with, spoke minimal english. He smiled and nodded or shock his head to my simple questions. That didn't bother me, I was just glad to be able to properly recycle my old electronics.
