Dan stoped by and walked my property with me, and gave a lot of other suggestions about how to set up my drip lines or plant flowers or help my lawn get greener. He seemed to know what he was talking about! I said that perhaps long term I would be interested, but overall I wanted him to focus on just the weeding in my rock beds and my lawn. All I really wanted was my weeds to be gone. I also went and purchased flowers for the season, that my friend and I were going to plant after Mother's Day. And Dan said he could just get them in the ground for me, since he was there anyway. I then went on vacation for 4 days. He was supposed to be WELL done with those minimal projects by the time I returned. However, I returned, to what was nothing short of a disaster. He had (pictures attached): - Ripped all of my drip lines out of the ground - Thatched my grass into an oblivion without giving it water or nutrients after - Used the DEAD grass to fill in massive holes in my lawn from where he "weeded" - Did not weed my rock beds at all - Pulled all of my existing plants out of the ground, and let them die. Then replanted dead plants around my property. - Let the new flowers I bought die on the side of my house, potting them in mulch and clay - Removed the metal edging from my lawn and stole rocks my my neighbors properties to line the lawn with - Decided to bring broken drawers he had spray painted to put plants in above ground planters that were super ugly and nothing I had asked for It was awful. He did not charge me. But it was one of my worst experiences as a home owner. I spent grueling hours with my neighbors, had to buy all new bushes/flowers, and have spent all summer attempting to get my lawn back to life and property to be presentable. Finding a new company to help was hard because most people were booked up, but I did eventually find one and everything is coming together. He was also successful in convincing me to consider a new strain of rhizomatous tall fescue over blue grass, with the former being resistant to drought and requiring less water to maintain. It looks great! His crew worked extremely hard and paid attention to detail while completing the project. Aspenwood had the right equipment to do an excellent job in soil prep, which included 15 tons of soil treatment. At the completion of the project, Omar (their crew chief) was meticulous in adjusting the sprinkler heads to their original state.
