Vladimir, the shuttle driver was excellent, the staff at the car drop off/ pick up were also very courteous and professional. Considering the insanely high rates at other places, AC Hotel offers very reasonable pricing. They also have a great system in place. When I dropped off my car, they text me instructions in how to request a shuttle when I returned. Upon my return, I arrived at the red marked hotel shuttle area and sent a text to request pick up. I waited 10 minutes at terminal 7 for the shuttle to arrive and a 5 minute drive to AC hotel to retrieve my car. That truly cannot be beat. A tip Vladimir gave me was to request the shuttle at terminal 1/2 or 6/7, to avoid the wait of going all the way around lax (and the nightmare of the international terminal). This is completely sound advice, as the shortcuts are at 2 and 6. 10/10 highly recommend.

Very convenient, you just go to their location on Sepulveda, one of their guys comes out, jumps in the car, and then you go to the Airport from there -- after you get dropped off, they drive your car back to their garage for storage. We always just have the guy drive to the terminal from the office because they are way better at navigating LAX than we are. They drop you off, then take your car back and park it in their garage. You can choose between covered or uncovered (price diff for covered). The best part is, when you land -- you simply text them that you are ready for pickup and they meet you at arrivals with your car. Then you can just get in your car and go home! Let me tell you, when you are weary from travel, it is SO NICE to just be able to have someone bring your car to you so you can go home. ;) Note: We usually offer to give the guy a ride back to the office after he picks us up, but you don't have to--- they usually just catch a shuttle.

The water feature doesn't work. But there are still scores of screaming kids that run up and down the concrete remains. The escalators to and from the parking frequently are broken. And yet they continue to charge outrageous amounts for the parking, now through centralized pae stations rather than meters which are unattractively bagged with bright yellow plastic bags. TL/dr: One would expect more from a high and neighborhood common space.

As a Gold Elite Bonvoy member, I really appreciated being able to check in early with no hassle--they accommodated it right away. The airport shuttle was seamless and showed up right on schedule (runs every 30 minutes), which made arrival super easy. Check-in was smooth and welcoming, and the whole place has that modern, upbeat Aloft vibe with a definite Cali twist. It was a little chilly during my stay, so I didn't get to enjoy the pool as much as I wanted, but the fire pit and lounge areas were awesome. My room was clean, comfortable, and the bed was amazing--slept better than I have in a while. What really made this stay stand out was the staff. Every interaction--from the first phone call to final checkout with Brenda--was warm, genuine, and made me feel like family. Huge shoutout to the whole team for making the experience memorable. The location is also a major plus. Tons of food options are within walking distance, and we were able to stroll over to Ralph's for snacks and groceries. My personal favorites: Starbucks right across the street and In-N-Out nearby. We Ubered to most places during our visit, and the location definitely helped keep costs down. It was also super easy for drivers to pick us up and drop us off in front of the hotel, which made getting around even smoother. Only minor concern: the gym had a bit of an odor that kept me from working out, but we got plenty of steps in during the trip, so no big deal. Yes, many places have "difficult parking," but difficult is a relative term, and compared to most of San Francisco's most difficult street parking, the most difficult of difficult SoCal street parking is quite easy. You just have to be patient--and willing to walk more than half a mile. The Huntington Beach-City Beach-on-Wednesdays-in-the-summer kid in me tells me that you have to pay to park at the beach. What, are you going to find some free parking somewhere on Beach Boulevard (where?) and then drag your boogie boards, cooler, Bing Tennis set, towels, umbrella, and sand toys along the sidewalk and then along the hot sand for more than a mile? You're crazy! And that quandary is why I'm reviewing Hermosa Beach's Municipal Parking lot. You definitely should look for some free street parking near the beach if you can find it, but there are meters everywhere, so if you're going to pay for parking, you might as well have easyish access to the beach, right? According to the website, the rate is $1.25 per hour until eight p.m., when it climbs to $1.50 per hour. It supposedly closes at two a.m., but there's a 72-hour maximum, so I don't know what that means, exactly. Do they charge you hourly up until 72 hours, or is that just the longest they'll leave your car there before they'll tow it? And is there a daily maximum? Again, I don't know. But the price isn't bad considering you probably won't spend more than four hours at this particular beach, unless you plan to shop and eat out and/or rent a bike for a long ride. It's not the cleanest structure in the world (there's sand everywhere), but it's by the beach, so it could be much dirtier and grodier. There are 300 total spaces on multiple levels, and I don't think I've ever seen it anywhere near full. If you're driving--and of course you are, because why else would you be looking up parking for Hermosa Beach?--reward yourself by going a little bit out of your way and picking up a delicious sandwich and deli side from Boccato's Groceries (https://www.yelp.com/biz/boccatos-groceries-hermosa-beach). But it has been awhile prior to our first restaurant run. Truly a great beachside destination. Plenty of eateries (and many of them dog friendly!) and shops for everyone's budget. The beach is literally a block or two away and parking isn't horrendously expensive unlike some other beaches or shorelines. (A buck and a half per hour is a steal!) It's a pretty chill and kickback area. Some grub spots have live bands/music you can vibe to. But the best part of the village is definitely walking by the shores! The views. Of the water alongside the mountains are breathtaking. I imagine the best time to come through is during the spring and summer. We have yet to experience the area during the fall and winter seasons. The value was impressive because there were many affordable treats and unique items that did not feel overpriced. The quality of the stores and food stands was high and everything felt thoughtfully arranged. The selection was wide enough to keep teenagers entertained whether they wanted snacks, clothes, handmade items, or just a fun place to walk. I have only been there once before writing this review but it was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable places I have visited. I highly recommend that teenagers go there because it gives them a chance to feel independent, creative, and connected to a lively community.

What a cool spot in Manhattan Beach…read more I really enjoyed my visit here. Parking in the area isn't exactly easy, as we chose to park in the streets leading up to the pier then just walked down to the pier. We visited this pier two times during my visit,once in the day time and once at night. Both visits were lovely though I preferred my visit during the daytime as it felt safer. Walking down the pier, you get endless views of the Manhattan Beach waterfront. At the end of the pier, there is the Roadhouse Aquarium, which has free admission and features awesome local marine life inside, it's small but interesting. My favorite part of visiting the pier,besides just standing on the pier and listening to the waves crash in, is The Strand. The Strand is a walking path,no cycling, that runs along the Manhattan Beach area and allows to to check out the amazing beachfront houses. Several famous people have lived in Manhattan Beach, including Shaquille O'Neal and Tiger Woods, adding to the area's celebrity appeal. Another cool aspect of this Pier is access to the world famous beach Volleyball courts that are located next to the Manhattan Beach Pier. These courts are home to some of the most competitive beach volleyball matches in SoCal. Overall I really loved visiting Manhattan Beach Pier as I consider it one of the best free activities one can do when visiting SoCal.
