I rarely post reviews, but I felt like I had to when I saw a previous one star review that strikes me as outright libel. This barbershop is a veteran owned small business filled with friendly staff that will talk to you about anything from sports to current events while giving you one of the best haircuts you'll get at a more than reasonable price. Throughout my visits here I've seen patrons of every race/age walk in here and treated with courtesy and respect. The only downside about this place is there can be long wait times, but they offset that by allowing you to schedule appointments. read more

There were 3 barbers working and the woman at the front counter said this is an African American barber shop and I should go somewhere else. This place is fantastic. The barbers here know what they're doing! They give a pretty smooth fade. You'll love the way your hair looks when you leave. I always go to Durango, the owner of the store and he's never let me down. Plus the location is great, especially for the military. Durango runs a great barber shop. He is a master barber and it definitely shows in his work. FWIW, I am Filipino and Asian hair can be a challenge to fade. Nitisha, my barber, was meticulous and pretty close to being a perfectionist. She did have some challenges with the way my hair changes direction, but she was not above asking Durango for some help. Durango made the situation a teachable moment. This shows humility and attention to detail. I left the shop with a great fade and an incredible amount of respect for both of these professionals. I genuinely appreciate when someone takes pride in their craft, and this place embodies that. I'm from out of town and needed a fade, so I naturally went to the Yelp community for recommendations. Once again, I was right to trust the reviews. Deliberate and focused, my barber gave me the best cut I've had in years. If I could only transport the shop back home, it'd be the best case scenario. I received by far one of the worst haircuts of my life at this place last weekend. Hair grows back but the worst part was the barber charged me $20, I tipped $3 so that was $23 gone down the drain. This barbershop has no sense of business. I was a consistent and TIPPING customer for a year, and the only consistently good barber is Durango (the owner), out of 6 total barbers. The line for Durango is always very long, but recently there started taking appointments. My first appointment with Durango- he was 45 min late. Every other appointment I've had with him he's been late as well. Yesterday was the final straw. I made an appointment at 12:30pm. I arrived a few min early. He was still cutting someone's hair and finished at 12:38. This wasn't a big deal even though he was late for my appointment as usual. This issue was the he then told me that I had to wait for another person to get a cut because he's been waiting. I told him that I couldn't wait anymore because I made the appointment on my lunch break and had to go back to work. He told the other guy to sit down in the barber chair, and asked me what I wanted to do. I told him I would have to leave and he scribbled my name out. Durango and this shop as a whole are unprofessional, and a bad example of black owned business. I do not recommend this establishment to anyone. read more
