It has all the well-known shops including Very Moda, Intersport, Stadium, Imerco, Inspiration, H&M, Føtex, Fætter BR, Panduro, Hunkemøller, Matas etc. There's also special shops for wine and cheese. There's always a lot of activities during the holidays and it's completely decorated during Christmas time. Lots of parking spaces in the basement and the mall isn't completely crowded. Some people find it hard to find their way around but it's actually quite easy - a large square in the middle and four smaller squares located outsides the corners of the big square.

It's not so big, and it has a nice atmosphere. There's a bunch of cafes and restaurants to choose from, and from experience, they're pretty great. There's obviously an abundance of clothing stores, that's not really my thing as I think I've said before, but if you enjoy clothing, you'll enjoy this mall. This mall also has a gamestop, an Arnold Busck and a Fona. Those are mainly the three stores I go into - but they also have a pet shop! And yes, you can go in and look at all the cute and fluffy animals without buying any of them. They won't be mad ;). I've never run into any trouble with any of the stores in the mall, and the mall is always very clean and as said before, has such a nice atmosphere. It's a mall. But for a mall, it sure is great.

Ballerup Center is arguably the largest shopping mall of the area and whatever merchandise you're…read morelooking for, this is where you're most likely to find it. The selection of stores is broad and covers all price ranges. Unfortunately the layout of the place is rather confusing and not very customer friendly to the point where you start to wonder what the architect was smoking when they built it. There are map-posts at the escalators and other key locations though, which helps a lot. Parking is no issue since the entire roof is one large free parking area. Even during the busiest of times you'll have no problem finding a space for your precious vehicle. Time is limited to three hours and you must have a parking disc in the car set to the time of your arrival (if you don't have one you can pick one up for free at the center information desk). And whatever you do, don't forget that disc! The place is monitored by a very aggressive private parking company whose primary business model is handing out fines, and due to the size of the place they have a controller on site all day. At the time of writing the fine is 650 danish kroner. The center is conveniently situated right next to the Ballerup pedestrian street where you'll find further shopping opportunities, including some specialty stores and various banks. It's also an integral part of the Ballerup Train Station and you can basically grab an elevator directly to the platform. Another useful neighbour is the Ballerup Bus Station which you can reach by escalator from the mall. This is also where you'll find the library and the post office btw. The good: A wide variety of shopping opportunities, plenty of free parking, excellent connections to all modes of public transportation. The bad: Confusing layout, ugly, park-sharks are handing out stiff fines at the tiniest parking infraction.

The place is neat and clean with plenty of free parking right outside the store. A very strong point of this store is the fact that it is open from 8.00 in the morning till 22.00 in the evening every day - holidays included. You've heard all about those outlets / big warehouses that are located in obscure places like Ringsted or Næstved or what do I know and found out that it's extremely difficult to get there if you don't have a car, well this time Herlev is no longer obscure location in my eyes because (unfortunately) that's where my office is located. That said, this place got most of your shopping needs covered if you want to go to one-stop-shop. From supermarket (Netto, Føtex) to sports (Nike outlet, Sportsmaster, sport 24 outlet). From electronics (Power, El giganten) to pet supplies. They also have a cinema building too and some standard cafe (cafe A, Bone's and the like). Come here for the shopping, or the cinema and not for the culinary delights, and if you're nowhere near Herlev in the first place, maybe you shouldn't bother anyway. Most of the shops here are also available closer to town, perhaps not in the same location, but more convenient nonetheless for us mortals who don't own a car.
