This was a very old stove in a rental property, and it did not make sense spending that kind of money to fix it. What a nightmare. Luckily I was able to stem the tide, turn off the cycle, and mopped up the floor with every item of cloth in my linen closet. More importantly, Your Guys sent a man out the next day who showed up and fixed a broken sensor. Washing machine repaired right away and without fuss. Great job!! Not cheap, but that's life these days. Cheaper than a new machine. And my repair guy was great. Friendly, fast, and months on, no problems. Thank you!!

Upon arrival, he continued to tell me how nice and expensive this machine was (thought this was an act to have the ability to charge me more based on the bias that this machine is "expensive"). Takes the top of the dryer off and looks around for a solid 7 minutes. Initially tells me that he has horrible news and he wished he did not have to deliver this news. Mentioned that my motor broke and he would find a quote within the next few minutes. Received a text message from one of his "colleagues" and he quoted that a new motor was $782. Inclusive of labour and other expenses, I was quoted close to $900 to fix my dryer motor. He mentioned that this motor is extremely hard to find and he would have to check availability or they would have to ship it from Germany. Next day, I call 10+ service providers to discuss this issue and the consensus was that this quote was too high. I receive a call from Same Day Appliance Repair that there are two motors left in Canada and I should place an order ASAP, luckily, based on my bad vibes from these people, I held off. Later that day I got in touch with the official parts distributor based in Quebec for this product (Blomberg). They mentioned that I could buy the motor for C$294 which includes tax and delivery and there were 33 motors in stock. Same Day Appliance Repair blatantly lied to me about the number of motors left in Canada and hiked the price by 2x. Thankfully, I used another service provider (Fix Appliances) and they came in and found that the motor is completely fine but an article of clothing was obstructing the vent. They simply removed a panel from the back of the dryer and pulled out the clothing article. Same Day Appliance Repair is an absolute joke. They think they are smart using some sales tactics and influencing biases on their clients but you couldn't trick me this time. Best of luck.
