And even more excited to come home and tell me about what she learned that day. Math is presented in fun and engaging ways so that she has learned to love it rather than be afraid of it. Risk taking is valued as part of growth and development, and the joy that comes from inquisitive young minds is heard throughout the halls at Harley. I cannot imagine my daughter anywhere else and it makes me feel very good as a parent to know that she is at the best school in Rochester.

I stood up to my bully today and she still beat me up but in my defense that eighty year old sure knows how to fight. One time was just standing around playing on my phone and then boom, someone stole my underpants, I had to walk around for the rest of the day uncomfortable because of that jerk. Plus when I went to check if I still had underpants on, which i didn't my phone was stolen. And two months ago George brought a rabid badger on a stick and beat me up with it. The spitballs have evolved into an blow darts with cyanide tips, I have to carry around antidotes. I am obviously joking though, my bully is only 75. It's a great school though.

The schools are all together on one campus so there is no driving from one end of town to the other to pick up kids and the football field, soccer field, and tennis courts are awesome. As if they needed to add cheese to their fries, there is a brand new aqua center (fancy name for a pretty pool with bleachers)! Pretty fantastic!

They questioned his…read moreschool records....questioned his absences from the previous year, as if him being out of school for week due to bronchitis was an issue, or missing a couple days out the year due to doctors appointments or being sick was also an issue. Questioned his lower reading scores, even after I explained he has a learning disability and basically begged the school to give him a chance. And like another private school in Rochester, they also didn't give me any decision whatsoever. So if your child has a learning disability don't bother with this school cause there's no compassion. They couldn't even bother to let me know whether my kid was accepted or rejected!

Never thought I would be reviewing a high school but I will make this as brief as possible and only…read morefocus on the styling of the school. The exterior is a mix of a modern addition to a classic era feeling. It is quite a large school for a small community so I kind of feel it might too large but I wouldn't know that. The interior is what really needs to be helped. The greenish-blue floor tiles are beginning to fade, ceiling tiles are coming apart, and there is a non-functioning waterfall near the entrance that I recall, used to run. If this was only styling based, this was probably a lower rating but as a high school, I absolutely loved my time and made some great memories, but I don't feel like it's ever going to age very well with time.

They have embraced technology with the iPad program, giving the middle school students iPads and having them take them home with them to work on homework as well as using them for classwork, music, art and P.E. Pre-schoolers also use iPads in the classroom, they read books and play educational games. At the end of the day they putbthe iPads back in a special roving case. The lower school uses computers in a similar roving unit. Allendale is such a small school that you develop a bond with you teachers. They really know you and are like family. They start learning french and spanish in kindergarten and its more than just the words, it the culture. AC encore is another thing that is at the school. It is a after school program that anyone can participate in. Also rainbow room is a place where your kids can stay if you have to work later. They play outside and in the gym every day and get homework done too.
