As you know, with most government agencies, you have reams and reams of paperwork, and it can get get quite confusing. The ladies helping me were so nice and though, it took a little longet than I thought, we were able to finally come in and seal the deal. I also got my letter from the commander today that allows me to assist my son with commisary and base exchange purchases. So happy to finaaly get that done. Looking forward to our first official visit to the commisary and base exchange. More to come on that...

I was driving along the Loneliest Road in America and passing through Fallon, Nevada. One of the…read morerecommended to-do spots here in Fallon was to check out this....the Naval Air Station - "home to the Top Gun training facility". When I had read that this place housed "Tog Gun", I thought maybe I could get a tour and walk around and explore?? It sounded unique and exciting and of course I was a fan of the original movie, lol. This Naval Air Station was located sort of on the outskirts of Fallon....maybe a 10 minute drive from downtown. As I headed towards the base....I was able to view out onto the desert and the desolate area of wilderness afforded to test flights. And...I actually got lucky and caught a plane taking off! That was pretty cool. As I drove along the road which sort of paralleled the runway of the base, I finally came upon the entrance way. It was at this moment where I had my doubts. It appeared as if the base was closed off to visitors. That....it was specifically designated for instructors and students of the air facility. There was a guarded gatehouse at the front with fencing embedded all around. I questioned at this instant whether I should drive up to the guard and ask if the facility was available for touring? Though....I guess I "blinked in the moment" and shied away. I just had this impression like the area was extremely secured (see my picture) and specifically designated for training. I certainly didn't see any cars or tours being offered. Ultimately, I chickened out and never approached the guardhouse to find out if visitors could wander around the area and explore. I simply grabbed a photo of myself in front of the sign saying (at least) I arrived at the Naval Air Station - Fallon Nevada. So...I apologize to those folks out there who are reading my experience and unfortunately....I never got the answer as to whether the outside public are allowed past the security gates for tours. In the end....I just felt like this place was designed exclusively for trainers and students...while being off limits to the public. I guess I was just a little discouraged as to why they'd name this place "home to the Tog Gun training facility". I would assume that most people revisit their iconic movie memories and then scramble over here anticipating they can get an inside glimpse into an all access "behind the scenes" tour...when that's probably not the case.

Sunday night after the Super Bowl my girlfriend decided to go home to Reno from Fallon and in doing…read moreso she accidentally locked her keys in her SUV! I called AAA auto and they were going to be here in 2hrs. her medication was also in the locked vehicle! called the sheriffs dept. and a deputy was at our house in minutes and unlocked her vehicle quick! good people and we thank you for helping us! that is "helping the public"

The value is always good due to we need the postal service so we need to support them financially as well. Our mail and packages get delivered with haste and cares I can request service at my home for a pick up and the carrier is always so sweet to take my mail.

Ok let me start with saying WTF…read more... I put in a return address to Fallon when moving fromTennessee to Seattle. Ok. We were in Fallon for two weeks. That was in October. By November we had already put in change of address for Seattle before leaving Fallon. We were even two days late moving in. Due to weather. And other I for seen factors. Now, with that being said why are my boyfriend and I receiving torn, mutilated, dirty, past due bills from December in January beginning of February. And past due bills from January mid February. Also, my Boyfriend's father has to mail us or mail that does not come to new apartment often. Which his envelopes looked open and ripped at the corners like they were opened on purpose. And often take one to two extra days to arrive. Really we must know Fallon Post office. What is your problem with me personally and who I'm living with????? I need my mail. And my address is not in Fallon nv also. Please update that. It made getting a phone and credit check to go through three times longer at Verizon than I anticipated. Please update your system. It's like, SUPER annoying and wasting my time. It's seems personal. Can't wait to call the mail fraud hotline. Is someone from high school mad I was their boyfriends fill in the blank space.... Small consortium of a group of Northern Nevada libraries which affords more of a selection…read more The librarian there is very friendly, very informative, and very thorough in getting you started with their services and getting you a library card. Very clean, organized and accessible off of Maine St. There is an internet link where you can borrow, hold, and extend books and articles. The selection of audio books is lacking, compared to the larger libraries but you can use the app "Libby" which may enable you to access more of a variety. I still need to check that out.

Serious problems at this library, which used to be a gem. Staff has left, book choices have…read moredeteriorated. a formerly integrated smooth running operation in chaos.
