My pedi was just okay so I wouldn't go 4 stars on that, but the gel powder dip was very well done. Bee is great. I highly highly recommend you going. I've never had a bad experience and finding a good nail place is difficult.

I came in for a gel French tip pedicure and left so disappointed. The man that started on my toes didn't do a good job. Then another lady took over for him, and she clearly didn't know what I wanted. The French tips were sloppy, uneven, and she even left gel nail polish on my skin. She was way too fast and didn't care about how they looked, she just wanted to hurry up and finish them. For how expensive it was, the service and communication were awful. I could've done a better job myself. Definitely don't recommend. read more

Ti is the best! I asked for spooky Halloween bat nails and she took her time watching tutorials to get my bat nails perfect! She took her time, was detail oriented and so sweet! I usually go to NailThology, but it's Labor Day, and they're closed, so I came to City Nails for a much-needed pedi. They took me right in, no waiting. I picked my color, and got the deluxe ($45) pedi with honey flower soak, scrub and lotion. The leg and foot massage was legit, and my nails look great. The lady doing them was so sweet! The manicure was good. I got dip. They were nice. The place is gross. Not clean. Instruments not sterilized. Manicurist didn't have clean hands. People packed in like sardines. Reeked of fumes from glue. Wouldn't ever go back. Not for someone picky about hygiene. read more

City nails deserves awards. My nails last forever and are great quality and not expensive. At my salon from home I am paying $65 for nails that come off the day after application. City nails is seriously amazing highly recommend you guys rock. read more

City Nails does a great mani pedi. I will give them that. They also do a student discount which is great for students (like me!) However.... When I make a nail appointment it's because I have a certain amount of time to go to the nail salon. I sometimes made appointments in between class, before class, etc. Each time I showed up for an appointment....I waited 45 minutes or more before even starting. I value my time and if I make an appointment, I don't have time to wait 45 minutes. Either don't offer appointments or make sure you have someone available for each appointment. There is no other option if you don't want to piss people off. read more

The overall experience of getting my nails done was good, however they were not done well. I get gel manicures all the time and it's been less then a week and they are already peeling. Not to mention when getting them painted there was a lot of polish on my skin leading to them chipping earlier. read more

Well... I have been to this nail salon since moving to Oxford in August. I have never been treated like I was treated on 4/25/2023. I walk in, sit down, pick out a nail color, and one of the ladies that has never done my nails before does them. The man beside her was sitting there practicing on a manikin. When she finishes my nails I move to the next seat for the man to do my toenails. (I wish I had their names, but I do not.) The man is newer, as I have never seen him before. When I sit down for him to do my toenails he looks extraordinarily nervous and his hands are shaking. I just knew that he was going to cut my toe. I tried to stay as still as possible and he still cut in my toe. The cut was deep and I still hope I do not get an infection from this. I did not say anything as I should have, but my friend was very shy and I did not want to embarrass her. lol Anyway, neither the guy nor the girl apologized until I got to the register. Then the girl had a slight apology as I was paying. The guy had run away to the back and I never saw him again. ADDED: When he cut my toe all the workers were coming by and looking at how bad it was. None of them said ANYTHING to me and they all were speaking in their language. I will NEVER be back and as much as I have given this place service, I will NEVER recommend them to anyone else. read more

Employees are very rude! This is the worst nail salon ever! Would not recommend to anyone anymore! My past experiences were shady with their bad attitudes, but today was by far the worst ever! I was a customer of this establishment but not anymore. The customer service has become horrible and the work itself is "pure trash". I was having them do my real nails with acrylic/gel polish. The lady who did my nails in the pics below is the same lady who does eyebrows. She applied the acrylic too thin on my nails, gel polish didn't seal either. Once I got to working "office work" my nails "real ones" cracked, polish peeled, and nails broke due to the half job done to them. Which end up being $45 and this all happened the very next day and following a couple of days afterwards. I literally was going back to the shop everyday for a repair, $5. There was no apologies or training for the lady which is very well needed. The last time when I went in I was over it and just wanted a full new set of coffin, acrylic nails. I was told no I'll just fix the ones you have. But my nails were broken and I had to have some covered with a fake nail due to them breaking. So why not just give me what I ask for. That was my last time going and won't be returning. Make your choice wisely! read more
