Out of all the stores we visited at Tanger Outlets, Gap was the most disappointing from an all…read morearound experience. The store is well laid out, bright, clean and well stocked with a decent selection of all of your gap favorites...and that is where the good stops. Staff was present, but did not interact, welcome or assist anyone in the store. They were behind the register talking to each other while they had a store full of folks. The one associate on the floor was folding clothes, but had his cart and ladder blocking a main aisle, and got a tad snappy when multiple people said excuse me and one guest moved the ladder as it was very clearly in the way. Additionally, the store seemed a mess with lots of shelves and racks needing attention. We browsed and scoped a few pieces, but the experience was under and overwhelming at the same time. Gap is an outlet staple, so to see this one starting off at Tanger like this is not the best of signs. Hopefully they can get it together a bit, especially before the holidays roll in.

Academy Sports is situated on Gallatin Road just beyond or before the Walmart shopping center…read more While I have no certainly loyalty to a big box sporting goods store, I will say that if I had to commit to one, after my recent visit to Academy...it probably would not be them. Popped in on a Saturday morning after shopping online. Figured be best to look in store before purchasing. The store is large and laid out well from a section standpoint. Everything is labeled, easy to find and easy to navigate. The store has seen better days. After walking around, some sections of the store give off "closing" vibes with empty or disheveled shelves and displays, or products on display that definitely need to be replaced. To go along with that, the floors are worn and stained in multiple places, shelving units are in disrepair, ceilings are stained, and more. The store needs some TLC. While I was in store to look at very specific items, I decided to wander the aisles and look for any deals or items of interest. I walked around the store and through each section for over 15 minutes, and passed by no fewer than 12 Associates and not one time was acknowledged or spoken to. Not that I needed help, but it is wild that no one took one moment to greet a customer, not even when I was leaving the store and passed by 4 Associates huddled by the registers. Overall, the store is not a good representation of Academy, or at least the Academy Sports I remember visiting. From condition of the store to service, or lack thereof, this location did not show well. Selection if solid and prices are not the worst, but without that, this would have certainly been a one star review.

Older gentlemen employee holding 3 brand new fishing rods in his hand, using them to cram garbage down in a can.....yep....no surprise to me either. Special…read moreshout out to the lady with Long Blonde hair & the lady with silver hair who helped me from the minute I walked in. They were so kind to my 3 year old who was "helping" me shop. I think I tried on the entire store & never did I get a begrudging look. They hung my clothes up in the dressing room while I looked for more to try on, they offered fashion advice when asked, and looked for additional sizes in the store/warehouse/&other locations. Thank you ladies so much! Cato, these ladies are on their game!
