Parent-teacher conferences were offered early in the year and proved valuable in translating the progress our daughter has made. There are so many things to consider when choosing childcare like reliability, education, communication, cleanliness, and nutrition. Reliability and consistency: tutor time is open every weekday and my child consistently sees the same teachers and is in the same classroom with the same kids for a majority of the time. Classes do combine at the beginning and end of day. Education: in the last year my preschool son has not only learned his numbers and letters but can write out simple words, sound out words, and talks about different activities like science experiments and books he did at school. Communication: Tutor Time uses an application called sprout about where you can message the teachers and they can message back. They also send updates throughout the day including pictures Cleanliness: each night they wipe down rooms Nutrition: they provide breakfast, lunch, snacks, and milk. She responded to all of my questions and concerns quickly. She also set up a tour for us within a few days and let us reserve a spot until we were able to complete the tour. This put my mind at ease until I was able to get there, knowing that I would have the care that my child needed. The staff was very friendly at my tour. I was very happy with my experience.

During each stage of Jack's development, the staff worked with us (parents) to ensure that they were maximizing his potential. They strive for personalized excellence, and in doing so, Garden students have the unique opportunity to learn about their passions. For example, Jack is especially interested in the solar system. The knowledgeable and Montessori-trained teachers provided specific (solar system!) opportunities which allowed him to nurture this passion. Jack is so proud of his working knowledge of the solar system, and I strongly believe that is because he was provided with stimulating work related to this passion. Jack has also matured socially, and I credit Garden for this. He has developed a strong sense of justice (one of the many virtues that Garden instills), independence, curiosity, and kindness. While only in kindergarten, he is already an advanced reader, completes complex math problems, and loves to learn. I believe that this love of learning is essential for children to continue on to traditional school methods and beyond. We are so grateful for the incredibly gifted staff at Garden. They are attentive, empathetic, and knowledgeable. Every day I drop Jack off at school, I know he is in good hands.

Marybeth the director is terrible. she's a stuck…read moreup snob who judges everything about you and your child. she made nasty comments about my son being in a split home. Kim the older teacher in the transition room was terrible to my son and other children. she screamed at my child for looking at a puzzle that she laid in front of him and 4 other children and when she realized i was behind her she grabbed my son's face with both of her hands and squeezed acting like he wasn't in trouble. But the worst part is that one of the teachers in the school told my 5 year old son that "God hates mommy. And God hates Aunt Sarah and Aunt Amanda". My son has never been to church or even knew who God was. This was his introduction to religion. When confronted Marybeth claimed no one would say that. My son told me in detail where it was said to him but wasn't sure of the teacher's name. Maryann also claimed that no one knows the names of my son's aunts. I told her there is absolutely no way that they don't know their names because they are listed as emergency contacts and authorized pick up and drop off people. They dropped him off every day while i was at work. They just buzz anyone into the building. They don't even check to see who is at the door or escort the adults to the classroom. So anyone can come in and take your child and they wouldn't know. They also withhold food from the children. Most days my son would come home with most of his lunch not even opened or touched. Do not send your children here. They teach hate and judgement and its not a safe environment.
