My feelings are neutral from beginning to end. I got a call from Ron. I appreciated his courteous pre-call to confirm my delivery today. I wanted the boxes to be delivered after 1:30 pm at my office. He said he can't promise because of bad weather. I said, "cool, just call me if anything changes."
I waited until 1:45 and got a little anxious. I called him. Guess what? They were delivered at 12:30 pm. Wait, didn't I tell you to deliver at 1:30 pm? I got furious and found out from my counterpart who originated the order. But where did my delivery go? I went from one building to another and my counterpart said they are at our warehouse. "Warehouse?" I thought out loud "That's half mile away."
Great! My cool is not easily tamed in this humid Houston weather. I chased my boxes and ran through the traffic with my push cart (made me looked like an old lady pushing a shopping cart) up and down the streets.
Ron sent a 2nd driver to move my boxes from our warehouse to my office. I really thanked that driver and I almost pulled $5 to tip him. But wait, thinking about I lost 2 hours of productive time and almost twisted my ankle. Sorry, maybe next time. read more
