This cab company is the absolute worst I've ever used. First off, when I requested my cab I was told there would be a :20 minute wait. No problem there. That's usual. I asked if they took credit/debit cards. The dispatcher told me the drivers did take plastic. :35 minutes later, I called them back to check on the status of the car. I was told a car would pick me up in another :05 minutes. :15 minutes after that, the cab finally showed. I told her my destination, but unfortunately she didn't know where it was. Doubly unfortunate was the fact I didn't know the area, hence me calling a cab to take me. Triply unfortunate was the fact that the driver didn't have a GPS unit in the car. So, I sat there while she tried several times to call into dispatch to get directions. Also, the driver had to try several times to ask dispatch how much the ride was going to cost, as she had no meter in the car. Finally, when we arrived at my destination, I handed the driver my credit card. I was then informed that drivers don't take credit cards. She called dispatch again and confirmed that I would have had to of given my credit information over the phone prior to the trip, but they were nice enough to let me call it in then and there. All in all, a horrible cab company. Hell, I was handed a "Buy 4 rides and the 5th is free" card, and I handed it back to the driver. I won't be needing it ever again. read more

You've lost a customer (for life since I'm moving out of state on 8/11/16). The reason is simple, your evening dispatcher (the guy who hates having to tell people prices or ETAs and talks so fast, you can barely understand him) also hates honoring time calls made with your morning dispatch. Three times in a row (THREE TIMES!), your dispatchers have scheduled time calls with me, usually for the afternoon, only to have your rather rude evening dispatcher act like he was doing me a favor by not honoring the arrangement. Plus, one of your drivers sexually harasses your female customers and your company did nothing about it. L.A. Cab will be my taxi service until I leave--and they will also be the ones taking my fiancee and I to the Jetport. That's a $70 fare you lost. 30 minutes late to arrive for a ride I scheduled 4 hours before, specifically saying I had to catch a flight in Portland. I might miss my plane, now. Driver wasn't apologetic and didn't help me put my bag into the trunk. The dispatcher was nice, but not worth it to try this company again. read more

A really Nice place they have some very nice people there and are very friendly and helpful. I have been told that many people have loved the service and the drivers for many years. Apparently according to many of my friends they have had to deal with an occasional mean dispatcher. Being mean and rude or not courteous is unacceptable however. There is a new owner now and things are getting better. Things will change and it will only get better. I will recommend city cab to my friends and family and I will bring many people back to this company who are not using them because of this behavior. They are the only company with two way radios and this allows for smoother and speedy service. My compliments to the new owner and staff. read more

I start this review with a sad heart at the lack of compassion for a sick person. Not to mention respect. My health has been shitty in the past month from several trips to er a miscarriage abd infection thats led to my trip to the er directly from my doctors office. Due to the lack of healtg insurance my doctors office used a vouchure to send me to the er so i wouldn't get a huge ambulance bill. They called the city cab and was told 15 minutes and had me wait downstairs by the lobby. Cab still hadn't shown up after 45 minutes i called them myself and they told me he'll be right there. I thanked them and hung up. After 20 more minutes i called them again and waited on hold for 3 minutes once the lady on the line answered i proceeded to talk to try to ask what was going on and the lady instantly starts an attitude and replys if you'd let me speak and shut up i can tell you. Then she starts to talk about something about her driver wasn't available because he was coming from Sabattus. At this point you know I'm infuriated that she just spoke to me like that. I'm already in pain sick and going to have to spend most of my day and night in the er. Then about 10 minutes later the cab shows up and i procede to get in to tell the gentleman where I'm headed and he says don't bother i know where your going. My boyfriend sits in the front seat next to the driver and he tells the driver that the dispatch was rude and he tells my boyfriend to shut his mouth he don't want to hear it. The cab itself smelled of vomit and like someone had pooped there pants. Never again will i call this cab company. The lack of respect and customer service that was violated here is crazy. read more

Ripoff warning! Do not use city Cab! Early this week I need a cab ride that would take me from my friend's house to Lewiston grey hound station. We found city cab on the yellow page, and placed a timed call well in advanced. The cab arrived on time and I got on the taxi, asked the driver to take me to greyhound station and off we go. So far so good, right? But I notice the driver is not taking the normal route to downtown, instead of directly taking me to my destination, he drove to a laundromat, stopped, waited a few minutes, and picked up another passenger, and forced me to share the taxi with a stranger and her cargo. I can't believe what I was experienced, and what is more infuriating, I was forced to pay full price for my ride! Not only did I arrived to my destination late, not only was I forced to share a cab with a stranger, not only was a worried about my safety when the cab driver stopped at an random stop. I was forced to pay full price. The driver was even expecting a tip. WTF? I voiced my discontent and complain throughout the ride, but the driver just ignored me. At the time I was feared for my safely, or the driver may purposely delay the ride so I won't be able to make my greyhound bus. This is the level of concern I experience in my ride, I was feared for my safety. A taxi ride means the driver take me to my destination traveling the shortest route. A taxi ride means it is a private ride where I am the only party on the hired car. A taxi ride means I won't have to worry about who I am sharing the ride with or how my privacy will be compromised. If I am splitting a ride with another person, that means I split the fare, it doesn't mean I am forced to pay the full fare while getting half the service. When asked, the taxi driver have the balls to say, "this is what we usually do", they are blatantly breaking the law, no providing the service I asked for, and I was forced to pay for it. This taxi company is a total rip off, they are so entitled to paying costumers they don't even care. We have tired to reach the company via telephone to voice our complain, but were told to call them back. Obviously, they don't care. This is why the whole taxi industry should be condemned to pages of history. This BS will never happen in a UBER ride. Not only would this never happen to UBER because their driver will be sacked on the spot, all I have to do is email UBER and I will get an instant refund. Here in Lewiston I don't even who to call to file a complain. Thank god for Yelp, at least I get a voice, and can warn others NOT to use city cab. read more

City Cab was great. Our brother-in-law needed a ride home from the Hospital which is almost two hours away. They gave him a really fair price, made a big effort to help him, and got him home quickly. They even waited while he got his medicine, and didn't charge extra for the wait. The caseworker at the Hospital who told me about City Cab said that that is the Company the Hospial uses I would recommend them any time, and if we need a cab in Lewiston, we will definitely call them. read more

They shouldnt get a star. These people, on 3 separate occasions, stated they were sending a cab. The 1st time, I shrugged it off. The 2nd time, I called back. I was standing there the whole time, a half hour. Their dispatch stated "Our driver showed up!" Umm...... I was standing there the whole time lady. No cab ever pulled in here. One went by on Main Street, but never pulled in. She continued to try to argue. Really!? Today, I called for a ride and told them my home address. I have 360 degree view on video. They said 10 minutes. I'm still here 45 minutes later. I've been calling, automated piece of shit after 3 rings says dispatch will be with you in a moment yet no one ever answers. Hang up and call back repeatedly and they pick up the line and hang it up. What a spectacular bunch. Scum balls. read more

Do not use this company call 5 star or LA Cab first. They told me 30-45 minute wait time so I said sure no problem... Well an hour and 15 minutes goes by so I call them to see where they are st and hope much longer it is now slmost time for my appointment dispatch says your next give us another 15-20 minutes well another hour goes by Ive completely missed my sppointment and am now late to going out with my friends luckily my Uncle J is now out of work and is coming to pick me up so I called city cab to cancel and I am given attitude by the woman in charge of dispatch she tells me I told you that your next to be picked up. Im like yeah you told me that an hour ago her response we only have one driver right now you were told when you called that there was a wait time... yeah she told me 30-45 minutes Ive missed my Dr. Appointment and am late for my friends. I wouldn't be so upset if she had told me when I first called that the wait was over 2 hours and that there was only one driver because I would have gone with LA who told me one hour and when they say one hour it's actually one hour or less... this isn't the first time that city cab had screwed me over but it will be there last... stay add far away from this company as you can their cars are filthy and smell anyways read more

I use cabs in the lewiston area weekly and this cab company is the most rude and disorganized. The day shift is reasonably reliable but all reliability leaves on the night shift. The nightshift dispatcher cancels early morning time calls without calling. In addition he is both rude and shifts responsibility away from himself. While this company can be reliable at times it is plain simple that city cab practices bad buissness. read more

City cab is the worst cab company I've ever used. My fiancé and I called a cab to go to Dennys in Auburn. When we asked for a time frame, they said they'd be there "as soon as they could." No average wait time, no estimate, just as soon as they can. 50 minutes later, we called to check the status of the cab. We were told that the cab would be there in 10 minutes. So we got our coats on and went down stairs to wait with our niece and nephew, who were taking out to dinner. We were down there in three minutes, maybe less. After a half hour of waiting, we cour cab since we called another company, and was told that they has been there. Unless they were there in less than 3 minutes and waitedalled again, only to be put on hold for almost 10 minutes. I asked them to cancel for much less than that, they never showed. The dispatcher then said I was lying and disconnected. It's suffice to say I will NEVER be using this company again! read more
