If I were to walk into one of the big name banks, I would not be able to do what I can here. Secondly, the bankers are very knowledgeable, and respond to emails and calls very quickly, unlike other banks I have worked with, that have me waiting days and days for a response. Thirdly, I love how this bank has a great online banking system, just like all the big banks do; but while maintaining a small bank-client relationship. I also wanted to give a huge thank you to both Jesse H and Eric from Commercial Lending; who have helped set me up with the proper loans to help my business grow. Thanks guys!

I'm struggling with my bank satisfaction right now. Some asshat stole my purse and I immediately notified all my card companies. Visa, Amex immediately overnighted replacements to the hotel, no charge. Maybe I'm being unreasonable but it ticked me off and I want to move on to a bank who will love me a little. Any suggestions....send 'em my way.

I just finished a near 3-year project with Gateway Bank that involved the purchase and finance of…read morereal estate, then the finance of an major renovation of the building. The project also included moving and expanding my dental office into the new space. That, too, involved the finance of lots of new dental and office equipment. I couldn't have asked for a better banking partner in a project that had so many moving parts. Being a smaller, locally owned bank, Gateway was nimble, creative and flexible. Like any construction project, it ended up over budget and behind schedule. Gateway was there at every step along the way. More than once they went to bat for me with the General Contractor to reign in costs. They were also persistent and thorough about arranging SBA loans for the project and were able to take advantage of their established relationships with the SBA brokers to make it all happen. My contact there was a V.P. with decision-making authority. The convenience of having his cell number - and round-the-clock access - cannot be overstated. Big projects have a life of their own and problems don't always present during "banker hours". Whenever I needed to talk money, Gateway was a phone call away. Done. The entire crew there is helpful and truly a pleasure to work with. As the project wound down, and the financial dust started to settle, I found myself regretting not having a reason to call the bank. Gateway Bank began my project as a banking partner, but ended as a friend. For commercial banking, these folks can't be beat.

No but really he was very nice. He explained everything to me so I could understand it clearly and had a whole packet put together for me with all the info I needed. Everyone is also very kind there and there is candy in every corner. I give it 5 stars there is really no reason not to!

They're very reachable by phone, text, etc and are very willing to help explain coverages and reassure you of sufficient coverage. Their pricing is very competitive (I compared them to USAA). Ultimately, for my needs it did make sense to switch to USAA (mainly for certain specific coverage I need & my family's long history at USAA) but I will be continuing to check in with Jen to reevaluate periodically. As well, I'd highly recommend Jen to anyone looking for insurance, or at least to merely consider Jen in your assessment of insurance provider options.

SHORT VERSION: I could not be any happier with my experience At Royal Credit Union. Associates…read moreMatthew Ayoub & David Giadyu were very professional and knowledgeable of all the options and variables. Both were very efficient and also offered me valuable advice. THE DETAILS: As a retired person with limited income, I was concerned about the reliability of my older car. I wanted to upgrade to something newer with less miles. Apprehensive, but hopeful, I met with RCU associate Matthew Ayoub. He asked several questions like what kind of vehicle I was looking for, and what size payment I could manage. Matthew was thorough and efficient, and in a short time I walked out of RCU with a commitment letter to spend up to $15,000 on a newer car. The interest rate was very fair, and the payments would be right in the range that I could afford. On the way out, Matthew also gave me some advice about looking for a vehicle that turned out to be very valuable. About a week later I had settled on the car that I wanted. I was hoping to put the deal together as soon as possible. As it turned out, Matthew was off on the day I wanted to finish the loan process. NOT a problem! David Giadyu came to the rescue and finished the process. In a short time, he had all the loan docs ready, and a few signatures later, I walked out the door with a check. Hallelujah! I am super happy with my new (to me) vehicle, and I could not possibly be any happier with my experience at Royal Credit Union! Dennis Everson

It never ceases to amaze me how bad customer service can be sometimes. Especially in today's world…read morewhere there is competition between most business's and consumers have plenty of options. Case in point State Farm. My family has been State Farm customers for over 40 years. Over 40 years!. My wife was even a State Farm employee for a number of years. Due to the dishonest practice and mistrust of one State Farm employee, we have moved all of our business and will never go back! We had multiple vehicles and our home insured with State Farm. Most of my extended family also was with State Farm. Thanks to the experience of my wife previously being a State Farm employee we had not needed to visit a State Farm office for over 20 years. We never spoke to an agent and had previously always worked with an account manager named Stephanie. Stephanie had always been wonderful to work with. We even moved our policies from agent to agent so we could continue our relationship with Stephanie. Last year I had called to remove insurance from a vehicle we were putting into storage. Unfortunately Stephanie was not in the office this day and I worked with Cheryl W. Cheryl had suggested an umbrella policy. We had never had an umbrella policy and I was interested in more information. Cheryl stated she removed the insurance from the vehicle that we were storing and emailed information to me about the umbrella policy. A month later we received a bill for vehicle we had Cheryl W remove the insurance from. We called to find out what happened and why we were billed when we should have received a refund or credit towards our next renewal. We were told this needed to be reviewed by their underwriters. Being good customers for as long as we had, I didn't anticipate any problems. In fact I had thought they would correct this right away. Especially when I stated I had received an email from Cheryl W that could timestamp the date and time we spoke. After a few weeks of whatever they were doing for their discussions, we were told they could not or would not corroborate our claim and that we needed to pay that policy. Cleary we were NOT pleased. I had and still have that email from Cheryl W. How was that emailed to me? I was told she did not take notes of my request the day we spoke but she could email me information in an attempt to get more of our money. Well not being believed and supported by a company that we were very loyal to for a long, long time told us we needed to move on. We have since moved all of our business to an insurance company. Still hard to believe that State Farm would not support their customer and even harder to believe that Cheryl W did NOT do the right thing. Maybe State Farm gives more priority to the big name athletes in their commercials and not the average consumer. We are very pleased with our new insurance company and we even purchased that umbrella policy.
