The house was given to the Clearwater Historical Society and moved from downtown Clearwater to its current location within the Ed C. Wright Park. It is in a beautiful setting near a lake. You can walk, bicycle or have a picnic in the park by the lake. The house itself is a farmhouse style and it looks as though nothing has been updated for over 100 years. This is not a grand mansion but rather a simple house that is typical of that era. The house is filled with old pictures and antiques, many with a connection to Clearwater. I found a picture of me in one of their yearbooks. Guess I'm an antique now. Admission is free and they don't publish their hours so call first.

Overall loved the place, purchased the boat ride to see the dolphins and we actually got to see a manatee and a pod of dolphins! Multiple times by the way. And yes you run the risk of not seeing anything. It's the ocean not a planned exhibit where you're guaranteed to see a dolphin. The boat ride itself was worth the $20 though in my opinion! The two dolphins were awesome to see inside and they did tricks as well. Definitely recommend stopping here if your in the area! Well worth the price.

We grabbed a trolley bus here and took a boat back to the aquarium. The movie props and stuff were neat to see and gave more background on how Hollywood spins a story. The gift shop is huge and had a larger selection of T's and some clearance stuff.

The worker at the counter was super sweet with our transaction :) The museum is interactive while teaching you the history of the town and how the people contributed. If you're ever near by and want to have a museum experience, you should definitely stop in! They also do walking tours for those who want to explore even more.

At the time, I stepped in to visit the gift shop and they were closing in a half hour. They said your welcome to check out the museum for free. I was so happy to hear that. At this time, the museum usually costs $7. On Main Street, you will see this historical museum right beside the train tracks. It was a train depot back in the day. They have a nice collection of artifacts dating to back in the day in Dunedin Dunedin. I love that they have some interactive displays. They also house the only full collection of the Dunedin Times from 1924 to '66. Besides visiting the historical museum and learning about back in the day in the area, the website has archives from the Dunedin Times. Definitely check that out. Today Dunedin is the cutest little town bustling with a hallmark charm. Lots of shops, cafes, restaurants and the Pinellas Trail goes right through it. It also has a great water view and is dog friendly. It's definitely a great place to visit! Dunedin Historical Museum gives you a great idea of what it was like before and how it has progressed through the years!

The museum itself is a restored house started in 1914 and finished in 1919. It's called the Hartley House. His great grandchild still lives nearby and visits the museum! The plans for the house were purchased from Sears! It's full of fascinating history and even has photographs of when all of Palm Harbor was orange groves. Back then, an entire box of oranges was 5 cents. The house owner ran a local ladder factory which constructed ladders for orange picking and other industries. I learned that Curlew Rd is named after another name for the beautiful Roseate Spoonbill bird! I had no idea! Life is good with a little history!
