A turtle tank. A tiny tank with some miscellaneous fish and a baby puffer, a touch tank with some sea urchins, horse shoe crabs, hermit crabs, sea stars, and sea cucumbers, another tank with some brittle stars and a sea horse, and one last tank with some lion fish! There's $3 admission for military but I cannot imagine paying double that. I hope the profit goes to something beneficial for wildlife. We really took our time checking out every tank once we saw how small the room was. There was an employee at the touch tank that was extremely knowledgeable about the animals they have. Overall it was enjoyable to step inside and spend 20 minutes looking at fish tanks.

We spent about 90 minutes and weren't able to cover all four floors. Amazing architecture and excellent exhibits. Cafe was lovely, and specialty coffees and made on site desserts. I was told parking in the adjacent building was the cheapest in St Pete but used the 2 hour free street parking right out front instead this time. The cafe has delicious offerings at very reasonable prices and the gift shop is quite fun to shop in as well.

They have a one-of-a-kind full-size reproduction of Pablo Picasso's (1881-1973) Guernica, which is really cool to see. It was our first time here, so we wanted to see some works by the museum's namesakes, as an introduction. We saw amazing 1920s and 30s watercolors and a 1958 stained-glass mosaic by Abraham Rattner, known as a "colorist" for the vibrance of his works. and we saw a cool 1936 abstract by Allen Leepa, apparently painted while he was in high school! And we liked the small "fine crafts" Elemental collection, especially the kimono, somehow made of paper to look like seashells! Admission is by donation, suggested $10, and sometimes you can find free passes at a local library. Either way, it's worth a visit. The Leepa-Rattner Museum is a striking collection that really punches above its class.

The building is on the NW corner of the St. Pete college campus in Tarpon Springs. It is a beautiful gallery with many rooms. The visiting exhibit was in the front rooms of the museum. There were varied objects on display from sculptures to large petit point pictures to paintings to blown glass. The displays from the L-R permanant collection occupied rooms to the rear of the space. There was a whole room of art from Mr. Rattner, who was a prolific artist in many disciplines, painting, sculpture, fiber arts,and writing. He lived in France before WWII and was strongly influenced by the holocaust tragedies. The best part of this visit is that entry is free. There are clean rest rooms and a sitting area that is handicapped accessible.

Working along side the families is a great opportunity to really get engaged and help them with their needs. It also allows us to work with other agencies to form a great resource for the families. Working together to build a foundation for our children is a must. The organization has changed over the years and continues to stride to make positive changes for our families. If I could give 10 stars I would. It's a great feeling waking up and love going to work. Not many now a days can say that. But I honestly love my job and what I do to contribute to PARC's success.

This museum has Art Classes; painting, cooking, jewelry making, metal work and kids art classes. Undoubtedly, these smaller art museums sometimes have very interesting collections of art. But, the most captivating pieces were created by children! Murals, collage paintings, pictures and sculptures. In the back, there was a fascinating YOUTH GALLERY AND HANDS ON MUSEUM. They held a Kids Art Camp in the Summer. You could tell this room was created by instructors with a passion for kids. Another wonderful free museum experience with my NARM membership.
