A bank teller just has to be somewhat pleasant to be considered competent. Brittanee (hot spelling)…read morethe teller I transacted with was perfectly chipper to the elderly man that went before me, yet when I said hello to her she literally glared. Then threw my receipt at me. I know bank telling was not exactly your girlhood dream realized, but at least you're not coal mining, zookeeping at an inner-city school, or assembling iphones for 35 hours at a time. Feign being a decent human being when on the clock, Brittanee! I do not have an "I hate the Ben Franklin haired, bingo armed tellers" post-it on my forhead to warrant such scorn.

It was highly noticeable when I visited there recently to cash a check. The customer service greeting by the young lady at the teller window coupled by the manager she called for assistance, which I will mention was not displaying a name tag purposely I'm sure, was far less than enthusiastic for a place dealing with people's day to day and long-term financial procurements and trust. It was as if it was punishing to great warmly and obvious why. Ultimately the transaction was complete however noticeably others of another "persuasion" were far more welcoming and carried out with far greater swiss movement. Being that this is a customer service, a charged one at that, ALL CUSTOMERS SHOULD BE TREATED THE SAME AS WELL AS NAME TAGS VISIBLE AT ALL TIMES SO THOSE OF NON COMPLIANCE CAN BE noted by name. Every other bank is open and practicing social distancing in the bank. TD Bank is not. Without an appointment, you can only do business in the drive-up line which is inadequately staffed. When I have to wait over 15 minutes to ask for a teller when I am next in line seems a bit ludicrous which has me wondering if the employees know what they are doing. On a different occasion, the employee would not even let me withdraw money from my own IRA. He mentioned that I was not allowed to which doesn't make any sense. However on another occasion at a different Bank, I was able to withdraw. It just goes to show the competence of the employees. Honestly it is convenient that the Bank is in Mount Vernon as there is no Bank like TD however it does bring about concerns considering that they aren't sure as to what to do.
