Hugely understaffed and under-resourced CAB is doing the best it can, but there are long waiting times unless you have made an appointment. There are no clear opening times and most often the doors are shut by early afternoon. Even with this most people using the service just now are badly affected by the credit crunch. There is a small waiting room with several chairs in it, and lots of information leaflets on the walls, but decor is fairly basic. People coming for help are often turned away but there doesn't seem to be any other appropriate service to help many of them, who have nowhere else to turn. read more
