    - I stayed at the CitizenM for 6 nights starting from Christmas Eve 2018. - The staff there is excellent, they're very nice and very helpful - The room itself is great, it had a large King bed that's comfortable for two people - The room isn't very big, so two people would be the maximum amount of people that would fit comfortably - The iPad that controls the entire room (TV controls, lights that can change color, and blinds) is a great touch - The lounge area is a nice place to relax for a bit and includes a bar and food area - I liked that you can go straight to your floor from the bottom level of the hotel without having to go through a lobby area

No room service, but you can bring food from the bar up to your room.

Stayed here for a week while traveling on business. My co workers had recommended it because it's a 5 minute walk from the office and a pretty hip hotel. Figured I would give it a go! Upon arrival, I quickly realized this is not like any other hotel I have stayed at. The lobby is up on the first floor and they have a large living room style area, bar that is open 24/7, and music playing all day and night. They also have a self service check in which threw me off. Not to mention it was down when I arrived at 1:30am, but the staff was nice and made me feel comfortable while they dealt with the outage AND a mistake my booking agency through work made with my reservation. The rooms are interesting! Not a standard room, nor even a Euro style room. They are small yet have a massive bed! Everything is controlled by an iPad so this might be a great hotel for millennials. The bed was very comfortable and I liked how I could easily connect my iPad's Netflix movies onto the tv. The shower/bathroom was tiny but I'm a total snob when it comes to proper water pressure and this hotel had amazing pressure! They don't have room service, you have to go down to the first floor and order food to then take up to your room. The food is not that great. Edible, but nothing I would crave. Tried their nachos ( not real nachos!), their seafood stew (edible), their burger ( large and ok). Their bartenders are great to chat with and they have a lot of grab and go stuff that in my opinion was way better than the cooked food! They also don't have an iron board to take to your room. However, they do have at the end of each hallway an ironing/steam room. Checked it out once and the iron didn't heat up too well. Of course the one time I forget to pack my steamer! But I managed to survive! Pretty decent option if you're staying in Shoreditch. Around the corner from AMAZING food and roughly a 30 minute walk to Tower Bridge or St Paul's ( opposite directions). Hour walk to Big Ben and that mega touristy part of town.

Great location in Shoreditch. Modern hotel bit hyped i.m.o. Small room with a bed between the walls against the window. Person on tbe window side has to climb over the other to reach the washroom. Shower in front of the washroom, so and floor stays wet for long time due to.lack of ventilation. So need flippers to reach the toilet. Lights, heating with a tablet. Couldnt find a way to.only switch on in the washroom. It was all lights on or all of. Not very convenient and i have seen better software for this. So location is a plus this test bit disappointing. So 3 ***

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and enjoyed my stay. They offer self check-in with an attendant readily available to walk you through. After retrieving the reservation we made our own key cards right there. It was pretty cool! The vibe is very hip. Lots of space to lounge and drink or just work. The wifi is free and doesn't require a password. We stayed on the west side facing buildings and the view was nice. The room was compact but nice and clean. There are ample plugs including USB and western outlets. The rooms are equipped with smarthome technology linked to the iPad in your room. With the tablet you can lower the blinds and black out curtains, turn the lights on/off, set the mood lighting and control the television. We received drink coupons at check in and had a drink at the bar. Both my boyfriend and I liked our cocktails. They don't offer room service but there is a 24 hr canteen that offers drinks, packaged snacks, sandwiches, cakes and an impressive salad bar during the day. The canteen is self service and you take your items to the register to pay or charge to your room. Overall the hotel is really nice. I would recommend it for travelers looking for a centrally-located hip hotel with a younger crowd and nice vibe.

In the most 'Hip' neighborhood This hotel surpasses expectations and then some. A Boutique Hotel That offers all items necessary for A Brilliant Stay in London. The Rooms are Compact Functional and Fully Automated. When I say Fully I mean everything controlled by your Personal IPad supplied by the property. If the light is bright it is adjusted immediately, if the outdoors hinders Your activities their are double blinds To soothe your needs. And if you do Not approve of what is offered via TV, Stream any device and watch what you Please. With Graffiti both Sponsored and Impromptu their is a cornucopia of Art Available for you to Peruse and Photo. Inside the hotel the first floor is Dedicated To Modernity. Yet has the feel of a Lounge, Giving 'Kaws' for Comfortability. Shoreditch offers a Vibrant and Infectious Street Experience with an Ample Amount of 'High Street' and Unique Boutique Shops Restaurants and Clubs. With the hype comes a hip hip hooray, And surely another stay in Shoreditch.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind small quarters. Our room was wonderfully efficient, although it's a bit inconvenient to have to climb over your significant other. The wifi was great, the lobby had great snack options, and they offer a deal (free use) with the neighboring gym. You're also one block from good coffee (cream) and thee from the train (shoreditch & high). Definitely recommend checking out the Blocks for good food as well.

We stayed at this hotel on June 29th, just a few weeks after it opened, and wow, where to start?!…read moreThe design, with its imaginative and comprehensive art theme, is truly remarkable. From the moment you step into the lobby until you leave your room, you're constantly amazed by the meticulous attention to detail. The hotel is a feast for the senses, with vibrant colors, varied textures, creative lighting (I'm a lighting guy), and a perfect blend of convenience and comfort. You can sit almost anywhere and find yourself captivated by the surroundings, needing time to fully absorb it all. Yet, it never feels overdone--much of the design is subtle, striking a perfect balance. The rooms were so comfortable, and the beds were some of the coziest I've ever slept in. The amenities were top shelf. My wife couldn't believe there was a Dyson hair wrap and blow dryer in the room! There are little screens in each room that seamlessly control your environment - lights (mood), curtains, temperature, etc. The record player was fun, and the speakers were next-level quality. The two bars were more subtly designed with some of the coolest leather chairs I've sat in - we didn't want to move. The restaurant has floor-to-ceiling windows looking onto the street. Last but not least is the outstanding service we received from the check-in, to the personal introduction to the room, to the very attentive bar service and professional dining room staff. They clearly went out of their way to hire and train the best. This place is going to be a unique jewel in the heart of Hoxton.

Recently stayed at the Travelodge London Central City Road. Here are my notes:…read more * Room Size: Some of the rooms are quite small, but asking for a room at the front of the building is a good hack--those rooms tend to be larger due to the shape of the building. * Breakfast Deal: If you book through certain websites, you'll get complimentary breakfast, which is definitely worth it. The breakfast spread was surprisingly good. * Old but updated: The hotel is definitely on the older side and could use a remodel. While the rooms themselves are updated and comfortable, the hallways have that kind of worn, dated vibe. * IMPORTANT: There's no air-conditioning! I would not stay here in the warmer months. * Location: It's close to the tube and the Elizabeth line, making it super convenient to get around. Plus, you can easily walk to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Overall, your experience at Travelodge London Central City Road may vary, but it's a decent budget-friendly option.

It didn't even really directly impact me as I stayed on the highest floor, but I felt bad for the folks who were staying at the room right below mine lol I tried to walk in my room in a tip-toe fashion. Besides that, clean room that was tidied up well each day during my stay. Zero noise from rooms adjacent to mine. Courteous front counter service as well. Highly recommend adding the breakfast buffet service if your London trip is geared towards sightseeing and is less fussy in terms of where to have a hearty breakfast; I very much enjoyed the buffet offerings here especially the English breakfast items! Huge plus that the hotel is about a 3 min walk from Liverpool Street train station!! Station includes Heathrow-airport-connecting Elizabeth Line and M&S Simply Food for convenience store needs.

First and foremost, the best thing about this hotel is definitely the location. My fiance and I spent 5 nights total here and had no issues getting around to all the touristy things, since the Liverpool Street station is basically a block away. Plus it sure doesn't hurt that it's a straight shot down the Elizabeth Line to get to and from Heathrow Airport! With regards to our hotel stay itself, we were in a suite on the top floor. The suite was quite spacious with an area that was sectioned off with a couch and a LOT of empty space (great for our suitcases and whatnot), but everything just felt kind of old and worn in our opinion. Additionally, I didn't love that the shower had no door and was partially open to the rest of the bathroom because I had to be more careful about not getting water everywhere outside of the shower. Overall not a bad experience but definitely not the best, though we didn't spend much time in the room anyways. As globalists, we enjoyed complimentary breakfast every morning with the breakfast buffet. The food was good, and they had a very nice spread ranging from hot foods to breads to pastries to meats & cheeses. Additionally, you could order a la carte off the menu as well, and I quite liked the spiced omelet that was offered! Service overall was solid, and they even welcomed us in our room with a chocolate mousse cake since we were celebrating my fiance's upcoming birthday on this trip!

In the rush of summer visitors I accidentally booked my mother and brother-in-law to stay at our flat at the same time. Oops. We love everyone but a bit cozy with 4 full-sized adults, a baby and a dog in a two bedroom flat. So, I needed an "overlap" plan -- I did a quick airbnb search but everything coming back was either too far from our home or pretty pricey. Obviously hotels in London are outrageous, even the Premier Inn and Holday Inn Express that are both quite near us. BOLLOCKs, what is one to do? On an off chance I found Landmark Apartments on Yelp. Inputted my dates and found that they had a special of booking 4 nights, you get the 4th night free. WAHOO! Sealed the deal. So for 4 nights (single room, twin bed) I managed to get it for just under £400, or less than 100 quid a night. Those of you well versed in London accommodation know that save a hostel, that is pretty great. And right in the heart of Shoreditch, hard to beat! The booking process was fairly simple, done online and confirmed via email. Everyone I dealt with was pleasant. The room: VERY small, but very nicely done as well. The single room is obviously truly for 1 person. It sleeps 1. It has enough room for 1! My mom loved it though, a nice respite from our noisy house. It was super clean and had a "full" kitchen, which was nice. Location: can't be beat, right on Rivington above Rivington Grill. Word to the wise though -- my mom stayed Sunday-Wednesday when things are rather tame, Thursday-Saturday nights would surely be a different sort on this stretch. Regardless, its very well situated for shopping, eating, drinking, London-ing, etc. They do have the following policies to be aware of: *check-in hours are from 14:00-21:00. *You can arrange to leave your bags in our storage for a charge of £10-£20 depending on the number of the luggage. If you want to check-in early, please let us know in advance and we can arrange early check-in for a charge of £30. *If you are arriving after 21.00 we request that you inform us by phone call approximately one hour before you arrive as we need to arrange someone to check you in. If such arrangements are not made, you may have to wait up to an hour to be checked in. We charge £20 for late check-in as we have to arrange a staff for this service. This wasn't a problem for us as we are local and picked up the keys for my mom but it may be something to consider if you are tallying up costs and convenience. Overall - I was really pleased with the stay and would definitely book it again if we were in an overflow situation!
