We drop our 18 week old goldendoodle off for a two week board and train. We paid full price $1300. Looking through my website and speaking through email the understanding was that our puppy would receive training from a skilled professional to continuing work on basic commands and area of concern. We have been training 1:1 with a trainer weekly since October we started at roughly 10 weeks. Our ultimate goal is for this pup to be a service dog or skilled companion for our 10 year old daughter. Our trainer was been working on building the foundations for this. However we are very very aware that not every puppy has the temperament and traits needed for this! Our puppy was going to the board and train while we took a trip solely to keep up is current skills and work on some puppy nipping. I never asked or expected brandy to be training my dog for service work. When I drop him off I explained all of this again. She offered to take our puppy home and do some assessments. She gave me a lot of information, seemed very knowledgeable however she also questioned whether our current trainer was experienced and skilled. I took it in stride as I know that there are a lot of dogs being "passed off" as service dogs. However I explained very clearly we are very very aware that not every puppy has the ability to do service work I also explained that we were working on basic commands and some additional foundation things simple outing (target) and cues like touch. Again she offered to just do some basic assessment In regards to a dog having the potential to be a service dog. I said I understood and appreciated her opinion as a professional. I explained that we knew going into this he may not make the cut. She said she would come with me to pick up another puppy. I have invested time, love and I am committed to him regardless. After 40 minutes of listening to her essential slam our puppy I excused myself and went home to process everything. Like I said we know that every dog doesn't have the potential to be a service dog but what was concerning an alarming to me is the dog that she was explaining to me and the dog but he even said right in front of me at pick up was not our puppy. He was scared and frightened and shutting down. Once I got home, I bathed him( he was filthy) and got him settled, had a broken blood vessel in his right ey(never mentioned). I started thinking about everything and needed more information I Sent a email explaining that I appreciated her professional opinion that he will not make the cut as a service dog and I don't disagree or agree. I didn't send him there for service dog training, I sent him there for the basic commands and for the nipping. I explained that the puppy in front of me was a completely different dog then the one I dropped off. I shared with her that he had the broken blood vessel. I questioned why she never reached out to us early or if he was so terrified from the moment she started working with him as she stated. Ultimately, after several emails back-and-forth she had stopped responding. I've asked for a partial refund being that she was not able to do any training with him, as she has said he shut down. I feel like she should have done things a lot different and handled things much differently. However, I really never would've gotten on here and written in such a long review were given such a poor review had she done the right thing to resolve the issue. I have been nothing but kind and respectful to work through this with her. My dog now has so many behaviors and things going on that were never issues before. We are trying to get him back to where he was. I'm not accusing her abuse, I'm not accusing her of neglect. She may be a great trainer for certain dogs but she certainly was not a fit for our puppy and should've recognized that. She certainly should not have continued to push him and stress him so that he wouldn't reach the state that he was and when I picked him up. What was the most to be starting for me was that she couldn't recognize her concerns or hear us and take any responsibility for the way that things were handled or miss handled with communication. I suspect that she will likely respond to this review. I wish her nothing but the best it was not a good experience for us and I really just wish she would've done the right thing to resolve this. Our puppy will be okay, we will continue our training for him fully aware that service work may not be his calling.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND CITIZEN K9 AGILITY & TRAINING FACILITY!! Owner is BRANDY EGGEMAN. We are so disappointed & angry by the care & training here. I reached out to the owner & her response was to use the contract/waiver as an excuse for our dog's poor physical condition, nor did she accept any responsibility for his lack of training/neglect of training. * He was in her care for 2 weeks. No positive change in his training and behavior, more nervous & skittish than before. * She had at least 12 other dogs in her care for training, not including daycare & boarding dogs. 12 dogs to 1 trainer ratio * Her training method is to yell & yank on leash/collar till dog submits and starve dogs, so they are treat-focused. See videos on FB. * He lost 8 lbs. in 14 days, equivalent to .5 lb./day * He had infected scalding (burns) on his scrotum, elbow, & left paw from laying in urine for extended time (See pics). * He had a bad ear infection. * He tested positive for Giardia & Coccidia. He was not showing symptoms, but from the kennel & yard environment (see pics), I had him tested. Our other dog, who did not go to the site, tested negative for both, so it is likely that he contracted the parasites at their site. Yes, I did sign the waiver/contract "...that there are certain risks involved in pet ownership, training, and care, including, but not limited to, dog fights, dog bites to humans and/or other pets and the transmission of disease." But the following is far below the standard of care that our dog should have received. read more

The puppy class and puppy socialization was well worth it for my Great Dane. I couldn't imagine having a 100lb dog without it.

While I do not have much experience with dog training through Brandy, I greatly appreciated her customer service. I started the program and truly wanted to continue but being dual military, it simply did not work for our family. She was understanding and she ensured the door is always open for if I want to come back. From the couple interactions I have had, she is amazing with dogs and I recommend her. Thank you Brandy for helping me and my family out. read more

I've debated for months about whether to leave a review for this business. Mostly because of the defensive response by the owner when I asked about my dog's poor behavior when she returned home and her defensive responses to other negative reviews. Like others here, my dog returned to me much more reactive and afraid than when I dropped her off. It is taking months of training to undo whatever happened there. Trainers are sometimes loud, unclear and frenetic. This is not what I was expecting or wanting for my dog. I have learned a lot about dogs and dog training as a result of this as I've worked to help my dog recover and wouldn't have chosen this trainer with what I know now. I wish for my dog I had that knowledge earlier. read more

Brandy and her team offer a fantastic service. We started with her training our rescue in July 2020. He's a challenging dog and they have been amazing helping us getting Red into shape. She and Jordan have worked with not only my husband and I training Red, but also our sons. Since Red struggles in a group setting, we have boarded him in Brandy's kennel several times because she knows his temperament so well. They have done a great job of making sure he gets plenty of exercise even though he can't just go into the play yard with other dogs. Can't recommend her and her team enough for boarding and training! read more

After speaking with multiple trainers in the area, I knew Brandy was the trainer for us after 1 conversation. She took her time to discuss her methods which focus on identifying what motivates your dog and using it to encourage appropriate behaviors through positive reinforcement. She stresses the importance of off leash obedience through the development of a working partnership with your dog. I knew that this would be important for us as we were adding a 13 week old Doberman puppy to our family which included a 10 month old baby. We completed Brandy's puppy socialization classes, 2 week in board training, obedience classes, and her intro to trick dog activity classes. We are beyond thrilled with Ollie's progression through out the 6 months. Her weekly obedience classes are great because she shows you how to work through distractions (real world situations). It can be challenging at first while you work on your dogs focus but we left each class with goals to work on throughout the week which facilitated significant progress. Ollie enjoyed his in board training while he worked with Brandy and Jordan. They were both very communicative and even had videos to share demonstrating his progress throughout. He came home much more responsive, less impulsive, and very happy. Brandy goes out of her way to trouble shoot through problems and answer any questions you may have. We have learned so much in regards to dog behavior and had so much fun while doing it :-) Ollie is now 9 months old and has already completed both his canine good citizen and novice trick dog titles. Brandy has given us the tools to development wonderful partnerships with our dog and well as facilitate an Incredible bond between he and our daughter. Our only regret is that we are moving and cannot continue with her program. I, however, feel confident that she has provided us with a wonderful foundation to continue our training journey as he continues to develop. read more

Brandy has a horrible facility and keeps dogs in a brick house that's about 95 degrees in there. Don't take your dogs here you will run into problems and she will constantly tell you that you should come back for another week or two so she can continue to "train" your dog,but honestly she doesn't train your dog except for 30 minutes a day. She proceeds to take on as many dogs at a time and what she's doing is over extending and not really giving out a good quality of work, heading to the facility to get my dog back was the saddest thing in my heart I have ever felt and sincerely believe that she's only in it for the money. Money first, dog training second -brandy eglewhatever read more

My wife and I got into touch with Brandy based on the recommendation by the president of Virginia german Shepherd rescue, who has worked with her for years when dealing with tough situations. We brought her two rescued, mature males with unknown backgrounds and their own sets of issues...Brandy is exactly what we hoped for and we are continuing to work with her! Brandy had both of our male shepherds for the same two week period as one of the recent negative reviews. We experienced nothing like the other owners experienced. We had a very positive experience. Our dogs had and have absolutely no health issues, and did not lose any weight! Brandy is an experienced professional and is incredibly talented in what she does. She clearly knows what she is doing. She understands dogs and dog behavior better than anyone I have worked with! Both dogs made solid progress while in her care. Brandy spent some talking to us about each of them and providing us training about how to work with them. She definitely got to know them. As for her facility, it is not a doggy daycare and it's not a dog retreat! It's a training facility! Maybe it helps that we have a military background, but as we were looking for behavior modification / behavior assessment, we were less interested in aesthetics. To me, her area is exactly what is needed - a quiet open area where she has room to train. Its actually quiet impressive to walk into her area where the dogs are kept. No matter how many dogs there are, it's almost completely quiet. The dogs aren't barking or pacing or crying. They're all calm. That's a testament to her! I've never seen any number of dogs be that quiet when strangers come in. We highly recommend her - do check out her videos on Facebook, her book and read what she writes and posts. All good stuff!!! read more

We took our German Shepherd to Brandy for obedience training. During the first class, our pup acted like a mad woman. Brandy approached me with care and thoughtfulness to consider leaving Addie for the inboard training. That was big decision for us personally and financially. Fast forward 2 weeks, Brandy approached me again with the same care and concern. Addie is a high drive dog, not something the average person could handle. She wanted to make sure I knew and understood what it was going to take to have a dog with such a high drive. As Brandy continues to work with us, Addie has become a great family dog. Without Brandy, this would have never been possible. I continue to work with Brandy weekly as we work towards another goal, Search and Rescue certification. Brandy has been instrumental in helping us reach this goal and continuing to coach us with obedience training. I have referred many friends to Brandy and continue to do so. I truly appreciate her knowledge, her experience and honesty. HIGHLY recommend Brandy. read more

NO WAY WOULD I RECOMMEND! We paid thousands of dollars (and I literally mean thousands) for in-board training for two dogs (a 5 year old lab, Keen, with aggression behaviors and a 6 month old lab, Nash). I was very transparent with the owner, Brandy Eggeman, in explaining what we were dealing with in our older lab. We spent almost an hour going through examples and I was truthful. Brandy was confident that she could address and teach us how to address the aggression issues (Keen bit the puppy and we needed help!). Our main goal was to get the two labs to peacefully co-exist and to work on commands with the puppy. We sent Keen for a 4 week in-board training session with Brandy and the puppy, Nash, overlapped Keen's training for the last 2 weeks (in-board training dates were 6/2/19-6/30/19). When we dropped off the puppy, I should have insisted to see our older lab that had been there 2 weeks already but she assured me that him seeing us would be a set back to Keen's training and progress. She literally hid Keen from us. Nothing could have prepared us for what we would see on 6/30 when we picked up our four legged babies! Keen's legs looked awful and were oozing blood. I immediately asked what was wrong with him? She said he wouldn't sleep on the cot provided so he slept on the concrete. She said I probably should have called you....ABSOLUTELY SHE SHOULD HAVE!! I would have gladly delivered alternate bedding so that he didn't have to be on the concrete flooring. I kept thinking she would never have let this happened to one of her dogs. I was so incredibly shocked that I couldn't focus on the training session (I am rarely speechless but I was fuming). In all fairness the only win from this entire ordeal was that Brandy taught Keen to jump in a truck. I should have posted this review sooner but I literally was trying to digest how to address and not post when I was still angry and upset. Brandy literally acted like the condition of his legs was acceptable and no big deal! I feel so guilty that I left our family dog in an environment where he was so poorly taken care of. THIS IS NEGLECT!!! Even today, his legs have scars from this injury and I blame myself for it. Brandy might be a good trainer for some but she was certainly not a good fit for us and our dog (and I should point out that the 4 week in-board training is "geared toward aggression and other severe issues." Also, in board training includes follow up training sessions as part of the package. I lost so much respect for Brandy that we forfeited the training sessions (that we paid for as part of the package) and did not return for the sessions. 7 months later and I am still upset so I'm putting in the effort to formulate my thoughts on this business!!! I fully expect Brandy to try to explain this away but my hope is that others will read this (and view the photos) and make wiser decisions than we did about what is best for their pet. BEWARE!!! read more

Brandy is one of the BEST trainers I have come encounter with. I came to Brandy with an aggressive (reactive - that's what Brandy calls it) PITBULL, and she trained my dog without any discrimination! working with Daisy (my pitbull) just like any other dog at her facility. Brandy also has so many awesome classes that enhance the connection/understanding between you and your dog. I LOVE working with Brandy and will stay with her for many more class sessions. Another thing about Brandy that separates her from other trainers that I've encountered is that even though she had a broken foot or if she is sick, she is still going out of her way to train your dog! and that's very rare. Daisy and I have a stronger bond, trust, and understanding after attending / training with Brandy. read more

Brandy is a phenomenal trainer. She employs a perfect method of correction and positive reinforcement. She is consistent, evoking results from even the most stubborn dogs. My sweet baby Kenzie just completed training and GRADUATED with Brandi (Citizen K-9 Dog Training) and she had a blast. I think Brandi is very talented and does a great job with training and just dogs in general. Kenzie is a 8mth old Frenchie who is very stubborn but Brandi really took the time and effort to help us! I haven't had a dog since my teen years and really needed a "Go To" person and Brandi was that! She has a vast knowledge of all dogs and really knew a lot about Frenchies also! Brandi was able to train Kenzie and overcome some of her stubborn ways. I really enjoyed her class and will be talking more in the future! read more

Honestly biggest waste of my money. "Specializes in training aggressive dogs" Scam. She's a con artist, went straight to panic mode when an aggressive dog showed just that, aggression. I paid her $1200 as the down payment and she kept it, making it seem like she did me a favor for not charging me the rest after she couldn't do her job. She muzzled my dog to the point where he has sores on his face and an allergic reaction I had warned her about, on his paws. On top of all that, she has horrible customer service. She doesn't answer her phone ever and is incredibly rude about it when she gets back to you. Families are obviously everyone's priority but this is your job and it's unprofessional to let your client call and email day after day to ensure there's no issues with their health or known severe allergies. 0/10, I wasn't going to review but honestly I wish I had read something like this before I went to her. read more

We discovered Brandy while searching for quality dog trainers in the Hampton Roads area. Admittedly I was unsure if Brandy was the right trainer for our two "little dogs" as she is regarded as the premier trainer for large breed search & rescue dogs. Before we even attended our first class, Brandy & I exchanged several emails and even had a couple of lengthy phone calls to discuss our concerns. Brandy assured me that we could work together to train our two dogs. We have two miniature dachshunds - one male "Noodle" (age 3) the other female "Lucy" (age 1); both were in need of obedience training! Noodle & Lucy needed basic command training (sit, stay, heel, etc.) but our 3 year old (rescue) was also extremely nervous around people & other dogs and barked non-stop! On the first day of class, there were 4 German Shepherds, 1 Labrador and 1 Doberman...and our two wiener dogs...it was comical to say the least! But, as we near the end of our first 8-week session, both of our dogs now respond to basic verbal commands, and Noodle will even allow people to pet him! I'm confident Noodle & Lucy will both take & pass their "Canine Good Citizen" test next week! We plan on signing up for Brandy's next 8-week class to expand their training, and our overall understanding of dog behavior. We HIGHLY recommend Brandy Eggman - Citizen K9 Dog Training & Agility!!! I went to this trainer because she came so highly recommended, and she didn't disappoint. It was helpful too that she has an amputee GSD as well and that so many of the owners in the class were repeat customers. I brought my one-year-old German Shepherd Dog for obedience training, with his main problem being that he pulled on his leash when we walked. Well, this was resolved during the first class (I mistakenly thought that he couldn't walk slow because he was missing a leg). I happened to go to classes during a busy time, and there were typically 10-12 dogs in each class, all with various degrees of socialization. Some were very unsocial, but by the end of the class, all had improved immensely. Nothing better than watching a trainer holding the attention of about a dozen dogs of all sizes! I've been to several trainers, but Brandi has a unique style that incorporates training the dog as well as the owner (probably more of the latter-ha ha!). I volunteer with a GSD rescue, and Brandi is also recommended by them to their adopters. I wouldn't hesitate to refer anyone I know with a dog to Citizen K9! Two thumbs up...and if my dog had thumbs, he'd give her two thumbs up as well! read more

I met Brandy a couple of months ago when I was at my wits end with my GSD that my husband got me after I lost my "heart dog" last December. I have to admit, I do a lot of research before I jump into anything, & this was no exception. I looked at many training companies and when I read the reviews of Citizen K9 & of those Brandy's worked with in the past, I knew that I could put my dog & my faith in her. First, I went to the Puppy Socialization class where I met her and others in the class. While she kept a watchful eye on the pups, she took time to answer questions from us no matter how stupid or crazy they might have seemed. Unfortunately for Brandy, I ask a lot of questions, & I must say, she has an infinite amount of patience with everyone! The dogs respect and listen to her; it's amazing to watch her in action! She answered my questions & others with wit, knowledge and experience. Then, one day when I was particularly frustrated with Apollo (he's very different from my "heart dog"), I called Brandy and literally cried on her shoulder. I was ready to give him away, but she talked me off the cliff and suggested that Apollo spend time with her and be a part of the inboard training program. I have to say, it was the best thing I could have done for Apollo as well as myself. She posted several videos of Apollo working with her on different commands, so I could see for myself he was happy and really learning! Hallelujah!! To continue his progress, I'm now in the 8 week training class so that I can reinforce what she's worked so hard to teach him. Brandy is very conscientious about what she does and only has the dog's best interest at heart, as well she should. She knows a great deal about dogs, their behaviors & the best way to train them! Just like people, all dogs are not the same, nor can they be trained the same. That's why she spends quality time with EACH dog and trains them individually. Just watch her videos on the Citizen K9 Facebook page & you'll see what I'm talking about! Apollo is doing so much better, I wouldn't think of giving him to anyone else! My suggestion is that you try a class, watch some videos, see how she teaches (the dogs & their parents), listen to what she's saying and judge for yourself. I promise, you won't be disappointed!!! read more

We wanted a trainer that had real-world experience on training not in just valuable commands but learning to correct and handle behaviors of our dog individually - he's smart but was a handful. Our puppy is now one of the best in the class and I'm always impressed when similar disruptive behaviors are quickly addressed and improved upon right before our eyes. In reading the negative review here, she never handles the dog with aggression or anger. Her approach is straight-forward good behavior/reward not bad behavior/punish. She does encourage gentle-leaders which some think is aggressive but it's personal preference. She teaches us to be in control and to communicate and lead them through positive experiences and where there have been negative behaviors, rework how they react. read more

My name is Brandy Eggeman and I am the owner and operator of Citizen K9 Dog Training & Agility. I grew up with German Shepherds and my mom owns a kennel where she raises German Shepherds. I have over 30 years of experience in dog training, with 18 yrs in search and rescue work for the state of Virginia and England. Having worked with law enforcement and many officials over the years in various venues, the quality of my training must meet the highest standards. I train using positive reinforcement because I believe dogs learn best with this method and it strengthens your bond with your family member. I also believe there is a consequence for undesirable behavior. I use the analogy of being ticketed for speeding in your vehicle......it doesn't hurt but makes you think twice before doing it again! I have shown dogs in obedience, trained therapy dogs and work dogs in Schutzhund, along with having trained pet quality dogs and behavior problems. Check out my Facebook page

I have only great praise for this trainer. I have been taking my 9 month German Shepherd to her since she was about 12 weeks old. I researched several trainers before observing one of the classes and deciding on her. I have never been disappointed, even though I live 45 miles away. Many of the trainers I talked with wanted to start me with a prong/pinch collar or electric collar. This trainer's system is based on rewarding the dog for good behavior, never punishment or intimidation. She will help the owner identify what reward motivates the dog, i.e. treats, toys, praise. A Gentle Leader collar is usually the most that is required for correction. Only rarely does she ever recommend a prong collar and seldom an electric collar. In the months we have worked with her, I have seen many dogs come and go, and they always leave better behaved than when they started. I have seen owners bring in dogs they thought were lost causes, to find that with a little training and socialization, they became happy, well behaved pets. She is very good at identifying problems, their causes, and teaching the owners how to work on the problems. She makes every effort to work on any problems the owner may identify, going so far as to have props in the next class to simulate the situation and work with the dog. I have learned a lot from this trainer about dogs and training them. Her approach of having dogs at different levels of training in the same class works great at preparing the dogs and owners for the distractions of real life. People are often impressed at how well behaved my 9 month old is when I take her shopping, to work, to fairs, etc, where she will stay by my side. I would recommend that anyone looking for a trainer talk with this trainer and/or observe a class. read more

I have had really great experiences with Citizen K9 Dog Training and highly recomnend. My German Shepard had a lot of stress and anxiety when I had boarded him at other facilities. He wouldn't eat and would be sick for a week after boarding. This was not the case with Citizen K9! I have boarded him for short and long stays and he comes home happy and healthy. The facility is very clean and the dogs are well cared for, played with, and exercised. I have also brought him for Inboard training and all I can say is Brandy is truly a dog whisperer! My dog is 8 and was not socialized, was too stressed to ride in cars, and was a very bossy GSD. Now he is able to be in public, rides quietly in the car, and has improved tremendously on responding to commands. While he was there for his four week training he was not eating. Brandy kept in contact with me with updates and she fed him canned food which he gobbled up. She cared for him as if he was her own. I can't say enough on how wonderful she is with all animals in her care. Finally, I have attended several training classes. Brandy is one of only two behavior specialist in Virginia. She takes the time to help you understand and handle your dog. Did I mention she wrote a book on Training Your German Shepherd Dog? I am so happy we found Citizen K9 Dog Training! read more

After bringing home a young German Shepherd puppy, I knew that the best solution was to start early with an experienced trainer. After careful comparison, we decided to go with Brandy. Her knowledge and expertise on training and specifically German Shepherds was just what we needed. We chose the 4 week inboard training and the results were incredible. Before training, my kids could barely tolerate the puppy because of all of the puppy biting (mouthing) and rough play. After training, she is such a delightful pup to be around. She is still a bundle of energy but she is no longer biting uncontrollably. Another amazing difference is the socialization. Our pup spent so much time around other animals while she was with Brandy that she is now great with other dogs (of all ages and sizes), horses and cats. I also take her to all of the dog friendly establishments in town to keep her socialized with other people as well. Last weekend at our local downtown waterfront market, I had several people approach me to ask where she trained and she even sat for a local photographer. We will continue to train with Brandy as my pup grows. Our next dog will also train with Brandy. I recommend her service to anyone. read more

I chose Citizen K9 after researching websites of training programs in our area. I liked all the information provided there. I noticed a difference in our border collie (mix?) after the very first session. Mainly because I received training that day. Me and my dog started communicating and both of us started behaving! My husband came home 3 weeks later and joined us at training. I believe he and the dog wouldn't have bonded without it. It is amazing what our dog is capable of and it makes us so proud of him. Brandy knows dogs and I think she's an amazing teacher of people AS well as dogs. I know its got to be a tough job training humans and every dogs different; but Brandy's suggestions and creativity worked for us-in every situation We are truly impressed with this program and Brandy is nothing short of amazing with dogs (and their people!) We have confidence in our dog now and us as his owners! read more

I swear by Brandy and her methods of training. I have an 11 month old German Shepherd puppy, and we are testing for his STAR Puppy certification tomorrow. 8 weeks ago, you couldn't tell me that by the time the test rolled around I would have any confidence in his ability to pass.. But looking back on all the things that Brandy has taught us, I have all the confidence in the world that my good boy will excel at his exam! If that didn't give you a "warm and fuzzy" about her, maybe this next story will. Another student of Brandy's tried to eat her the first day, literally. Within 20 minutes of work, he was obeying her like she was his owner. I couldn't believe my eyes. Citizen K9 is we're it's at for training your canine family member, I would trust no one else, cause there simply is no suitable alternative to Brandy. read more

My German shepherd Grace was a scared little mouse when we first her her, she wouldn't let anyone touch her or come near her. I was recommended Citizen K9 by my vet, and I am soooo happy I chose to call Brandy. Within a few weeks of training, Grace was more sociable than I ever thought she would be! Before week 4, she was running around with all the other dogs, letting other people pet her and was just all around a more confident dog. We tried everything under the sun that we read on the Internet, other things recommended by other trainers, and then some... None of it compared to the expertise provided to us by, as far as I'm concerned, the only option in dog training. Book with her NOW! read more

I would highly recommend this trainer. She has been working with my 4 yr old GSD for a few weeks and the results are amazing! My dog was seen as aggressive because of a bite incident and the way I have been taught to work with him has given him a whole new personality. He gets excited when he knows we are heading to training. The trainer has taught me how to correct behaviors my boy has had maybe all his life and within a matter of weeks you would never know they were ever there before. There is no fear instilled in the training techniques. In fact we are told if we as the owner get frustrated with our dogs, to take a few minutes so our dogs remain relaxed while learning. read more

My husband and I chose to work with Brandy based on her phenomenal reputation. Our pitbull/lab puppy was rambunctious! We did an in-board/follow up class training option, and our dog Lady began to behave and listen - thanks to Brandy's patience, wisdom, and her vast training experience. Brandy is the only person we trusted in VA Beach to care for, board, and love on our puppy. And WE learned the necessary skills to raise our dog using positive reinforcement. I have nothing but great things to say about Citizen K9! read more

I wouldn't trust any other with my Dog. Brandy is extremely positive and ensures all dogs are having fun while training. I also board my dog with her. I like that it's a facility where your dog actually goes outside and plays with other dogs. At the end of the day your dog is exhausted! A tired dog is a good dog :) I highly recommend her! read more

I THOUGHT THESE PEOPLE WERE WONDERFUL BUT NO! My puppy got vax breakthrough Kennel Cough and not only did they not tell other customers but they did not even call to see if the puppy was OK! I prepaid a lot of money and they will not reimburse me! WHAT A TERRIBLE WAY TO DO BUSINESS! DO NOT GO HERE! read more

Bandy is a wonderful lady and dog trainer. When she works with my family's dog you can sense the relationship between her and our dog. We have been satisfied. I see other reviews with negative feedback and I think of our visits to the kennels and find these comments hard to believe. read more

Wouldn't consider this woman a 'trainer' if instilling fear in a dog is how you gain respect, you obviously lack education on dog behavior and proper methods. In short wouldn't let this woman near my dog EVER again. Run don't walk away. read more
