Much better system than the olden days, I remember waiting ages in the queue but now it's faster and still always busy the staff are good in helping you find a quicker alternative of using their systems. I like it here!…read more I got served FREAKISHLY quickly for one of the busiest times of the day and I managed to get all my questions asked too! In about 45 minutes! When this included paying bills, opening a new online account and changing my account details, I was amazed! Staff were friendly and helpful, the layout is great and the private areas felt just like that! I'm using this place for all my banking now!

A modern branch of Nationwide in a fairly new, modern part of Westfield Stratford City…read more I'll start as I do with any bank by talking about the opening hours, with a cash machine outside on "The Street" part of the mall, that means even if you're shopping late you can still have some banking services, but even better - they're also open on a Sunday with staff inside so you can use the more advanced and in-depth machines inside, the staff seemed pretty friendly too, the only flaw being despite being open 12-6 on Sunday, they don't offer a counter-service. Every other day they open between 10 am (later than average) and 6 pm, opening half an hour later on Wednesday's which is average/reasonable, as they seem to make up for opening later by closing later. Perhaps adding another outside cash machine would be good especially for the location, they certainly do need to fix the automatic doors too, as at the moment the bank seems a little unwelcoming and I even thought it was closed at first. Decent, average modern bank, although there are many rivals nearby this is an average bank, and one of the better ones in the mall (I'm calling Nationwide a bank by habit when it is infact a building society) 3*

It's a useful location within the shopping centre, offering basic banking facilities including ATM's which are open to pay in and withdraw money whenever the mall is open. Otherwise, the branch is open between 10 am and 5:30 pm Monday to Saturday, but at certain times which includes the final hour of opening during the week and the whole of Saturday they do only offer digital/automated services which isn't ideal, but at least it keeps the store partially open. From the outside, the store looks good with the purple, modern theme similar to the Natwest logo but the interior of the branch is a little old and it's a shame the interior and exterior don't seem to match - having a layout similar to the Piccadilly Station (Manchester) branch would match perfectly. I really like how the sort-code for this branch is "602012" with the 60 meaning Natwest and 2012 marking the year of the Olympic Games which were held in Stratford, with the Olympic Stadium just a short walk away (Westfield its-self opened towards the end of 2011 ahead of the games). A well-located branch offering basic banking facilities within a shopping centre, but if you're looking to do more, speak to a member of staff or avoid long queues for an understaffed counter, this branch isn't for you. 3*

This bank is a very busy bank as its on a very busy road ie barking road.They have all there tills…read moreopen,but as its busy you do have to queue and that can be anythhing from 5 minutes to an hour. They also have a telephone service if you need to talk to someone about something regarding your existing account(lost pin) or wanting to get a new product ( morgage or loans). They also have a help desk that you can go and talk to one of the staff about anything to do with the bank. They are a friendly bunch of people who work there and are there to help.

I've used the cashpoint here many many times. The queue isn't normally too bad but obviously on…read morematch days you can expect to wait up to around 10 minutes the closer you get to kick off. There have been the odd occasion where one of the machines hasn't been working but like i said, its the odd occasion. If it's very busy there's a post office over the other side of barking road with a cashpoint inside.

I've visited the good and the bad, and sadly this branch of Barclays located in Westfield Stratford City, East London is one of those branches which just screams out "Meh, I've experienced better" One of the many banks in the mall, it is actually one of two Barclays branches in the area with one nearby in the Stratford Centre, however being located in the largest shopping centre by the number of shoppers who pass through each year, they seem to have adapted their location, to suit the shopping centre, like many other nearby banks. An example of this is their very good opening hours, for a regular bank their opening hours are fantastic and are similar to Metro Bank, but for me the hours are what one would expect from a shopping centre, perhaps without many nearby shopping streets you'd get in a big city centre like Manchester or Liverpool. They open Monday to Saturday at 10 am, this is later than average but for me (I'm not a morning person!), this is pretty reasonable especially considering they stay open late until 7 pm, closing an hour early on Saturday's. The bank is also open on Sunday's, they do have staff in too but they lack a counter service, pretty useful to call in if you have a question and hope the staff can answer it, bearing in mind their systems aren't in use as there is no counter service - I don't know why banks do this. If they're opening on Sunday that is great and really useful as they finally move from the old-fashioned draconian era of banking with branches being closed on Sunday's, which still most banks seem to follow - but if they have the staff, why not a counter service even if it is a reduced service? I can't see a high extra incurred cost which Barclays may face. The branch inside is a little small, it isn't as modern as other Barclays branches but seems to do the job. The wifi was difficult to connect to, which was a shame and the staff member seemed to spend more time staring at me than offering help or at least acknowledging me with anything from a "hello" to a smile. 2* - Opening hours are excellent, but this is average compared to other banks in the mall which it doesn't really compare to.
