I know gas stations and convenience stores can have a reputation for intentionally adding a dime here and a nickel there and this place definitely is one of them. This last time it was a bag of sunflower seeds with a $1.99 price tag that they tried to charge me $3.49 for. An earlier time I was overcharged for a bottle of soda and another time for a 6 pack of beer. Nope, they're not getting any more money from me. If you do go here be sure to check your receipt!

Fuel is my biggest expense in the Sprinter van so I stop for a good deal on gasoline when I can. I…read moreasked Gasbuddy where the cheapest gas would be along my journey and it suggested this Love's was least expensive. And it's even more so when I subtract the 10 cents per gallon for scanning the Love's app. The parking area was tidy and inside, the coffee station was well stocked. Super easy to pick a fresh cup and get a brewed-to-order coffee (second of the day) which I fixed up the way I like it. Oh, and even tastier since it was my 7th cup on the Love's app and therefore free. Free coffee? I'm a fan. The only minus today was that the men's room was a bit untidy and not fully stocked. Paper towels out in one dispenser and the trash was quite full. [Review 2278 of 2024 - 773 in Georgia - 23294 overall]

This place is more of a lotto store than a convenience store…read more This is a Shell station, and gas is about 6 cents cheaper than the Pilot across the street. There's a Subway attached if you're wanting to grab lunch on the road. The bathrooms are clean. I didn't realize when I pulled up, but the primary business of this store is selling lottery tickets. Of the 8 other people in the line, I was the only one who didn't buy lottery tickets. Based on the number of Alabama tags in the parking lot, I guess people drive over the state line just to come here. Folks were getting $100s of dollars worth of tickets and then scratching them at tables set up just for that. Seriously, the ticket scratch off tables take up more room than the snack shelves. Because people are superstitious about getting the exact right numbers and tickets, the check out lines move very slowly. The cashiers are friendly. If you're in a hurry, maybe go somewhere else. If you need lottery tickets, this is your place.

That was until we checked out and our grocery bagger (Travis) refused to speak after I looked at him and spoke and then we locked eyes and I spoke again saying "thank you" even louder just in case he was hard of hearing, he wasn't. Our cashier was pleasant enough and had conversations with Travis as he rung up our groceries, he heard him quite well. We gathered our things and left. Nice store overall, but Travis made me feel unwelcome. Either way, as a bagger... he won't deter me from coming back and if I see him again, I'll just not go out my way to exchange pleasantries with someone who clearly has issues with people like "me".
