I…read morehad to update my previous 4-star review because honestly, if I could give Devine 10 stars, I would do it so fast. My previous rating was based on the fact that much of what goes on behind the closed studio doors at practice remains a mystery. Dance is a major investment in time, energy and money, and I had no idea what this studio was capable of producing. Now that I know, I'll be recommending Devine to everyone. I still can't get over how much I enjoyed every minute of that recital. The theme, costumes, music, choreography, showmanship,everything about it was larger-than-life and I felt myself beaming with pride for kids that don't even belong to me! These kids WORKED. Kelly Devine's vision was clear, strong, creative, and it was apparent that every kid (and adult!) on that stage was actually having a great time. What a fantastic way to end the dance year. I can't wait to sign my little one up again this August, and I am so thrilled that this recital is what revived my older daughter's interest in dance. Devine has totally earned my loyalty.

We put on something comfortable before heading there, and were greeted by the owner upon entering the space. The owner was very nice, knowledgeable, and fun! The space is really cool. They have a variety of poles, some stationary and some spinning. They have a lot of other equipment as well, so you can tell that they teach a variety of fitness and dance classes there. The owner was there with two other trainers, and they showed us a few moves on the poles while we enjoyed the happy hour social before the workshop started. The workshop itself was very fun! It's a GREAT workout, you feel good about your body, and everyone is extremely body positive and fun to be around. Someone even won a $25 gift card for having the sexiest outfit. It was very fun and my friend and I talked about coming back to try some of their other classes in the future.

My family loves Sapphire. Both of my kids have been going there for years. My daughter has been…read morethere preschool through 3rd grade and my son has been there 3rd through 5th grade. They have been in basketball and climbing and swimming and soccer and track and almost every other kid sport, and gymnastics at Sapphire is by far their favorite. Whenever there is a conflict ("you have to choose between gymnastics and...") they ALWAYS choose Sapphire. Every single week, I watch my kids during their lessons, and every single week, they are BEAMING. I see huge smiles for the new thing they can do, and I also see huge smiles for the random fun stuff they do every week. My son and daughter are very different and I find it surprising that they have the same favorite sport. I think it is because the coaches do a great job of figuring out what each kid likes about the sport and making sure they get to do it. My kids have had many different instructors, ranging from good to great. No bad ones. If I had to highlight the really outstanding instructors, I would name Simon and Jenny. But there have been no bad teachers, nor even any mediocre ones. Gymnastics is purely recreation for my kids. They definitely love learning new skills and advancing to the higher class levels, but they are not wanting to go to competitions or anything. It looks like me like that advanced stuff is going on in other parts of the gym while we're there, but I've never felt any pressure to push the kids harder or "get serious" or anything like that. It seems to me that the really serious gymnasts and the recreational ones coexist very nicely. Their class registration system used to be very annoying a few years ago. I hated it. They threw it out and set up a whole new system. Now it's fantastic. It's easy to find out when the next registration period is, easy to see what classes are available, and easy to get registered. Communication is excellent. I get registration confirmations, great advance notification of when they're open and closed, etc. My only complaints are very minor. I am always jealous watching my kids have fun in the gym, and I wish they would have some kind of event where parents and kids can do gymnastics together. Also, I wish there were more seats with a good view of the whole gym. A dozen parents come in and plop down in the good seats and stare at their phones for an hour, and this leaves no good seats for the parents who are watching. Finally, the entrance to the parking lot is steep, and it's tough when there is ice. Another nice little touch is that they give out little award coins when students are helping other students work on a skill. The coins say "I caught you being good" or something like that. Over the past few years, my daughter has earned five of these. She gets INCREDIBLY excited every time. She has the coins all together, and for each one, she can tell you exactly what she was doing the night she earned it. It is such an awesome moment when she comes out of practice jumping up and down showing me that she earned another one. I could say a million nice things about Sapphire (and this review did get pretty long) but really the only one that matters to me is those smiles. Year after year, this is the sport that my kids love the most. They have crazy fun every single week.

Classes are now mostly during working hours, and when I booked a high-intensity "Pulse" class, I was placed into a completely different matcha/barre-style format. Not comparable to what was advertised or what I originally signed up for. The class also ended short of the full 60 minutes, which is part of what this studio promotes at a premium price point. Management's response has been to strictly enforce a 30-day cancellation policy rather than address the change in service. If you need consistency in schedule and class format, this may not be the right fit.

It did not really focus on the postures of yoga. If you want something quick, louder music, high energy instructor there is a class for that. I was not used to this but did my best to keep up and learn the moves as we went along. The quick feet movement on the yoga mats gave me a blister on the bottom of my big toe, but I could feel the workout for a couple days after. You are greeted when you walk in, you check in and get a mat or towel if you forgot yours. You can kick your shoes off or make your way down the hall to the changing/shower/bathroom. There is lockers,but you'll need your own lock. Then you make your way to the smaller room built for your class. Its was aimed to be hot, but just a mere 92 degrees. I had a few moments to enjoy the sauna room before we starting moving. Then it was all downhill. I dont know how you are to workout, sweat, and not loose your grip on the slick, sweaty yoga mat as you jump up and down and lift weights and move your butt off I felt good after the long class. I was able to go straight home and get my shower in, but this class we intense. I wish I had the ability to go back and try another one of the classes like hot Yoga or something a little less fast paced. They are all on their app, but the timing just did not work out for me.
