I've hesitated to write this review as I was hopeful that Cassello would Honor their contract &…read morecomplete the work they were hired to do. Regrettably, that's not the case, so here I am. Also, please understand that I never like to speak negatively about a company because I never want to take food off of anyone's table who's getting up to Work/Provide for their families, especially during these times. That said, as a paying customer, I also do not like to be lied to nor taken advantage of because I too work very hard to protect/provide for mine. I hired Cassello, in May, to remove several bushes that had overgrown a bed behind my house & were crowding my patio space. I informed the Salesman that once removed, I would place large vases with colorful plants instead, for better use of said space. We agreed this would be a better fit. He even shared that he & his Wife had done the same & they loved the look. The crew arrived, as scheduled & were very efficient, or so I thought. I was disappointed when I noticed that large stumps remained in my beds & questioned #1) how I would place the planters with them there #2) if the bushes would grow back I informed that I would not pay the balance, at that time, & requested resolution. A few days later, I rcvd a call from the Owner. Again, I explained my concerns & disappointment. I also provided pictures to support. He offered to send his Salesman back to cut down further, so I could place my planters, as well as to treat the areas with a "spray" which would prevent the stumps from growing back. I thanked him for providing a solution & promised to pay the balance upon completion. He came & I did. I was still, however, concerned how I would be able to place the planters because the stumps were still visible but I could see that they were sprayed (because the roots were dark) & that they had been trimmed NOT cut NOR dug out But I'm no tree expert so I elected to give them the benefit of the doubt, that the "spray" would kill off the remaining roots & eventually I'd be able fill the area as I explained. Sadly, this is not the case.... The stumps started showing signs of NEW Life... I even had my Landscaper cover them with weed barrier & landscape rocks, to create a level surface, for me to position my planters & the bushes broke through‼‼ It is now, July. Less than 2 Months, since I contracted/paid Cassello for their removal & they're back. Truly frustrated, I took new pictures & sent them to both the Owner & Salesman, last week, requesting their support to resolve & the Owner sent me a quick response stating that their work was NOT Guaranteed & that the only way to guarantee the bushes wouldn't return would be to remove them YUP, you read that right.... I reminded him that this was EXACTLY what they were hired to DO & why I was following up seeking support & resolution.... Haven't heard from him since.... I pondered, over the weekend, re: My next steps, as they have clearly shown me there's. Then I remembered... They sent me several request, to give them a Good Review. Well here goes....‼Be careful what you wish for & Honor Your Word‼ Cassello, if you're reading this, I hope it was worth it. Quality Measure

Quality Measure

I am filling a complaint against Chet Turner the owner of Quality Measure due to taking money and…read morenot perform and completeing the framing, demo, and the delays in permitting were caused by his failure to provide the required subcontractors license information, which was necessary to amend and proceed with the permit application, as discussed during our verbal phone conversation. Additionally, given his experience working with the permitting department in Baltimore City, as the General Contractor, Chet was aware of the subcontractor license requirements necessary to advance the permit application. Incomplete framing work that does not meet code and would not pass inspection in its current condition. He told me everything was done, but I have photos that say otherwise. There is no framing for a closet in one of the upstairs room, non of the first floor framing was done, the basement has old original framing in some ares that are not even attached to the foundation, the left wall has no framing at all there was no framing for a closet in the basement room, yet he told me multiple times framing was completed. Incomplete demolition and failure to remove debris as agreed upon. The backyard has the whole inside of the house thrown in the yard instead of being thrown in a trash truck and removed from the property. I had to tell him the basement furnace and sink needed removal. They left all the old, rusted pipes in the basement instead of removing them with the demo. I had to tell him to remove the moldy insulation from the basement ceiling. This was after he told me the demod and mold remediation had been completed. Lack of communication and follow-through leaves significant aspects of the project unaddressed. No work was initiated on the windows; therefore, I requested a full refund of the $2,000.00 labor cost for installing the windows paid on July 15, 2025. I canceled the contract on July 16th and paid for the materials directly through Lowe's. A 35% refund of the framing costs and a 25% refund of the demolition costs are requested due to the incomplete and substandard work provided. This was a long 7-week unfortunate business arrangement as I was lied to about everything, and they must have used my money to fund their project, which was being renovated while they were supposed to have been working on my home. All I want is my money back for the labor windows cost that was never installed, a portion of the demo cost since that was not finished, and I paid him in full, and I now have to pay someone else to finish, as well as the framing that is nowhere near finished. Chet sent me pictures showing it was finished, but only sent pictures from a certain angle and only in some rooms. I could see it was NOT complete when I went to the house in person. I have multiple emails and texts of my many complaints asking him to finish the work. The next stop is the courthouse if that's what it takes to get my money back. I feel ashamed that I let this guy take advantage of me, knowing this was my first project and how much this meant to me, as it took a long time to get the home.
