I can only imagine they make their business by targeting similarly clueless people, who will be unaware of the fact they are paying a high price for a substandard product. She originally bought their bronze package, (supposed to be £299 - however when SEO fees were included on top of the package this brought the cost up to £400 yearly.) After a couple of years she complained about the high price and the fees were brought down. Recently on seeing the website myself, I suggested 2 more pages were added as the text on the main page was crowded which gives the site an unprofessional look. She queried this with AMCS and they have said we are required pay £199 to upgrade to the silver package - which then gives us access to the CMS and the ability to built unlimited pages. Hang on a minute - we pay £199 to access to the CMS and do it ourselves!??! This appears to be the only option available to us and we've also been quoted £90 to transfer the domain elsewhere. Key Takeaways: -No flexibility -2 web pages are not worth £199. -You can register a domain name for circa £3-£6, so paying £90 to transfer is ridiculous for a small B&B owner. -Text has been dumped on the page with no proper formatting, care or attention. -You can find better website templates than the one used for hers on the internet for free.
