Yesterday, I stopped by this Circle K after spending a few hours shopping at the Ottawa Trainyards. It was the closest one.
It's a standalone store. Ottawa has many standalone stores, which I love. It's not as common in Markham.
There is limited parking in front of the store. I'd guess that there are, at most, six parking spots.
It appeared that folks just pulled into an available spot. I am so different that I pulled in front of a motorcycle that was parked and backed into a spot next to it, with the male staffer behind me smoking a cigarette. I recommend it, so you can exit a lot smoother.
This neighbourhood is like downtown Winnipeg. It's a bit sketchy, but folks do keep to themselves. On the other side of my car was a woman sitting on the step with her cute dog. Her dog barked at either my car or me. I resisted barking back.
I went into the store. It's small. It did not have any Froster Machines. There weren't any Polar Pop machines, either.
I looked at my coupons. What could I redeem? I got a bag of large potato chips. I got barbecue, which I like.
I got a gift for a Guru energy drink earlier in the day. I grabbed one. Yay!
This store also doesn't have any AriZona beverages. The horror!
Anyway, you don't get a whole lot of variety. However, if you want a packaged sandwich or hamburger, this store will love you.
The male staffer was nice. He scanned both items. He then scanned my two coupons.
I had to pay for the chips with a debit card. I tapped and all was great. I wished him a nice day and left.
While placing a dinner takeout order in the comfort of my car, the male staffer came out for another smoke. He must smoke a ton at this rate. I was only here for ten minutes at most.
