Tips:
- This store has roller foods, and Polar Pop and Froster machines.
- Get freshly popped popcorn here.
- It's a part of a Shell gas station.
Last Sunday, I was in Peterborough for the day. On my way over to Enniskillen General Store, I spotted this Circle K. I briefly saw a poster on the glass for either a Polar Pop or Froster.
I find it rare to hit a Circle K that has these drinks. I miss the days when you entered a Circle K knowing that you could easily find where these machines were.
Since Ontario allows beer, wine, and cider at these convenience stores, many Circle K locations decided to remove their Polar Pop and Froster machines to make room for booze.
So, I'm now stuck trying to figure out where to get my Polar Pop and Froster fixes these days. I have a list of stores that have these machines and I don't want them removed!
After getting my sorbet-sherbet treat and enjoying it in my car, I drove over to this store. It's a part of a Shell gas station, which is a bit different. I noticed that it's common to see this combination outside of the greater Toronto area (Orillia is another good example).
I backed into a parking spot steps away from the door. I then headed inside.
I actually had to go back outside. I was carrying my empty cup that once had sorbet and sherbet in it. I threw it out in a garbage receptable outside the store (there are two) and walked back in.
I love this store because it immediately smelled like popcorn when I walked in. This place has popcorn. Not bagged for who knows how long. Freshly popped popcorn with the smell of melted butter.
You get five stars from this popcorn lover. I didn't get any, but I am pleased that you have some.
This store has roller foods. I was happy seeing hot dogs and sausages as I walked past them.
This store has an amazing assortment of Polar Pop and Froster flavours. I had a coupon for a free medium Polar Pop. I spotted Crush peach fuzz. I had to have some. I got ice and then filled my cup up with this flavour.
The taquitos and breakfast sandwiches were next to the Polar Pop machine. Deadly! I was full, but everything looked so good. Markham doesn't have any Circle K stores with hot foods. I have to hit either Richmond Hill, the Scarborough-Toronto border, or Scarborough for my fix.
I went to the counter and got the loveliest woman. She scanned my coupon from my phone. Done!
I thanked her, wished her a great day, and headed to my car with my drink.
I took a sip of my drink and I made my way back to Markham. The peach fuzz was excellent. It was like eating a ripe peach, but in a fizzy beverage format. Yum!
I'm so glad that I got to use my coupon here and enjoy an excellent Polar Pop. It's a wonderful store. I'd drop by again when I'm in Peterborough.
