Since we don't have Whataburger down in my neck of the woods, I treat every visit like a pilgrimage -- a sacred journey to the land of solid American burgers and spicy ketchup that should honestly be bottled and sold as cologne. This particular stop was on East Gregory Street in Pensacola, and let me tell you... the experience started before I even made it through the door. Nothing says "authentic American dining" quite like pulling up to see five teenagers being arrested outside. Lights flashing, officers everywhere, the whole scene looked like an episode of COPS: Fast Food Edition. But did that scare me away? Absolutely not. I had traveled too far, dreamed too long, and waited too patiently for that orange-and-white beacon. I was going in -- call it bravery, call it hunger, call it questionable life choices, but I marched through those doors ready for greatness between two buns. And honestly? It delivered. The burger: good. Solid. Not "best of my life," but absolutely the dependable, comforting, satisfyingly greasy masterpiece I came for. The fries: crisp and plentiful. The drink options: a soda fountain wonderland. And the spicy ketchup... the true reason I risked potential witness-statement duty. That stuff is a national treasure. Despite the pre-meal entertainment outside, everything inside was quick, clean, safe, and exactly what I wanted from a Whataburger experience. Four stars. I'd go back -- preferably when the only thing getting arrested is my calorie count.

I can honestly say it won't be long before I'm back. Who doesn't love a diner that serves up breakfast all day long, if you want it? Tonight I was in the mood to try their fried mullet, and was not disappointed. Others at our table had The Pig burger, and grilled Mahi, and all were happy with their choices. I had a side of the fresh mango salad, which was a treat. The place has been open for decades, and the signs and wall ornaments reflect it, just a fun place with the most attentive servers you'll ever find. I'll be recommending Jerry's to everyone i know. See you there...

As always I get a fried grouper sandwich with three fried shrimp added to the sandwich. Anne gets the fried grouper fingers and onion rings. Absolute perfection. I love that the sandwich comes on a soft hamburger bun so you don't have to deal with a hard crusted roll like on a Po Boy. I add one serving of tartar sauce to the sandwich. I order fries, not because I want fries, but because I need a carrier for Jerry's dressing. Anne's grouper fingers were perfectly fried as were the onion rings. If you want a hoot ask Grok if it has the recipe for Jerry's dressing. It doesn't as the secret has been carefully preserved for all these years. But the response is so great. Grok knows stuff. I have not looked at a menu for a while now as we know what we want. But I noticed today that the printed menu is apparently new and appears to include a way upscaled game in its offerings. Have loved this joint for over 65 years now.

I usually do not give a review less than 3 stars, but today was an exception…read more We got the gyro sandwich with fries and two drinks plus Kibeh for starters. One good thing, I like the location. The dining room better than the downtown location. Now for the bad. $30 for two sandwiches and to add fries it was an extra $12. That is $42 for two gyro with fries ($21 each) NOT WORTH IT!!! In addition to the $12 combo up charge, we were charged separately for two sodas. So $6 for french fries that is made by Ore Ida's was unnecessary. May be $2 is acceptable. Our check for lunch including tips was $75!!! I understand times are hard and everyone is raising their prices after COVID, but that was 6 years ago!!! STOP taking advantage of your consumers. We are not standing for it anymore. It unacceptable! Customer deserves quality and value! Period. Moving forward, if I visit a restaurant raising their prices just to take advantage of their consumer I will give them 1 star. Unfortunately, this place was the first 1 star. They've earned it. The quality is not consistent with downtown location, the Kibeh taste like someone spilled a bottle ground cinnamon. Yuck! Good luck, I hope that $75 was worth it because I will never come back with these prices.
