This area needed a big chain gas station and it's a perk for me because they sale E-85 gas. My only complaint its located across the street from a very small poor community. It would have been great to have this tax revenue in that community (city). Whom ever missed out on this deal should not have been in office. It's sad a once thriving independent community is suffering because of poor politics.

With the exception of this center, each center was very welcoming and clean. At this center, I had my first (and possibly last) experience with doing laundry at a Love's. The whole laundry experience took me about three hours, eating up a good chunk of our travel time. My experience included the following: 1. I easily found the laundry area, which included two washing machines. One had Love's blue towels in it, though hadn't been turned on yet. 2. I tried repeatedly to get a credit card to work in the remaining machine and kept failing, eventually getting a message to get service. 3. I eventually went to the person at the counter and asked for help. She came back with me and didn't know what to do. 4. I suggested unplugging and plugging the machine back in, as that had worked at another laundry center. 5. She tried that, resulting in the machine cycling through updates and processing for over 10 minutes. Eventually it showed an "E24 error." 6. She then said she would go ask the manager for help. 7. Since she never returned after 20 minutes, I went to the register and found her there. She asked, "Still doesn't work?" I said it still did not so she then asked the manager to help me. 8. The manager immediately said that the washing machines don't work with credit cards so got me $3 in quarters and that worked. (I found no signs posted on this issue. I am grateful that he didn't take my offer to pay him back.) 9. When asked if the dryers worked with cards, he said he thought so. 10. He was wrong so I went to the counter to get change. 11. The same manager then sent the same attendant to help me. She knew nothing about the machines only taking coins and the manager didn't mention that issue to her. 12. So I told her the issue might be that machines only take coins. She then helped me get another $3 in quarters. That worked. 13. She later came to unload the store towels and said sorry for the troubles. That's when I told her again about only coins work and suggested putting up signs. She gave me a blank look and didn't put up a sign while I was here for the next hour. I love Love's Travel Centers and can see that they have strict policies for greeting guests and for keeping the restrooms clean. However, they don't seem to have policies on keeping their laundry rooms in working order or posting signs on how to use the machines. They likely don't make a lot of money from the laundry room, but the convenience is a great benefit for travelers. Also, all previous Love employees have been helpful and friendly. The ones here felt uncaring. I hope the laundry room now has a sign or that the machines have been fixed.

It's not really that well lit, but it's also not open after 11 PM. The staff are tenured and super friendly! Always willing to help and know their locals names. Very much a plus for me! This location doesn't have gas, so if you need it, visit their location next to Starbucks down the street. I definitely recommend visiting these folks! Best convenience store next to OnCue!

However, the homeless population they allowed to loiter there became so bad, I couldn't even get gas without being aggressively panhandled. So, I began going to this 7-11 on NW 59th. Nonetheless, I still had to get my gas at On-Cue, but there are certain drink items at 7-11 I like, I can't readily get at other convenience stores. However, I have had to stop going to this 7-11 as well. This store is allowing a homeless population with their shopping carts and baggage to literally camp out front like they live there, and I guess they do now. I agree the homeless need help, but if 7-11 wants business I hope they do something about it. I have talked to other people in my neighborhood and they feel the same way. We all agree On-Cue may be a better bet. From what I have experienced, On-Cue doesn't allow the homeless to camp out at their stores. I really hope 7-11 does something about this, I miss seeing the friendly clerks and buying my favorite drinks.
