The only reason I have decided to leave a review for a fast food restaurant is because I have never had 3 unacceptable experiences in a row at a fast food restaurant period. Every time I've eaten at a Krystal's restaurant I've always for the most part have been more than satisfied mostly because I don't live in the south so when I'm traveling I actually seek out Krystal's as I have it on rare occasions. My first experience I showed up at this Krystal's one day after a holiday and they were closed. I get it when you're in the south they have a different work ethic than places in the northeast. No judgment here I actually appreciate that as my employer wants me to work sixteen hours a day. My second experience at this restaurant in Dothan, AL my wife and I decided to try their new melts which looked amazing online and as expected the actual sandwiches resembled nothing like the pictures. But it was worse than that. The burger was like shoe leather and the bread was totally soggy and inedible. We both choked down as much as we could bear and the rest went in the garbage. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Fool me three times and yes somebody needs to smack me in the backside of my head. Fortunately my wife isn't abusive and a few days later I said let's get their breakfast as it always hits the spot plus how can anyone mess up breakfast? It's not possible is it? So they have super weird operating hours they open at 10am and you can only get breakfast until 10:45am so I said let's place the order at roughly 10am and we will get there no later than 10:15 so we should have a 30 minute buffer. I pull up to the drive through speaker and about two minutes later the person manning the speaker finally says to me how can I help you. I replied I have a mobile order for Anthony, there was a brief pause and the lady said oh okay you can come to the next window, so I did. After about another 2 minutes the worker came to the drive through window and asked me "oh didn't they tell you we no longer serve breakfast here?" And in my head I was like, no the app that I ordered breakfast on had no way of verbalizing that they no longer offer breakfast at this rundown location. But I didn't want to be rude so I just said no the app did not tell me this location no longer serves breakfast. Despite the fact that they had all the necessary ingredients to make breakfast at lunchtime hours, aka eggs, sausage and cheese but I didn't want to cause a scene especially considering the individual taking or rather not taking my order had nothing to do with the fact that the owner of this location really should throw in the towel cut their losses. I said to the attendant no worries but I have already paid for it through the app and can she just cancel the order and the attendant apparently asked the manager and said "no there's nothing we can do you have to do it on the app" I said okay and left the drive through lane. At this point my wife said she couldn't cancel the order because the app was saying I would have to go to the restaurant (if you want to call it that at this point) and have them make adjustments to the order. Simply put this franchisee needs to cut their losses and close this sad example of a restaurant that can't even compete or compare with a frozen box of White Castle from any local Walmart.

I would eat there three or four times a week. He's a good person and a great human and made one of the best Philly cheesesteak sandwiches that I have ever had!
