THEY USE TOILET PAPER FROM THE TRASH…read more So hubby and I are on our way to Jungle Jim's in Cincinnati from Indy and I have to use the restroom. New Haven Rd next exit- has all the gas stations, Arby's, White Castle etc. I tell hubby to stop at Speedway because it's on the same side of the highway we'll have to get back on. I go in the restroom and it doesn't look clean but not dirty enough we're I don't want to use it because I have to go so bad. I curse myself for having the large soda in the car and lock the door. Then I notice that there's no toilet paper. Side note- I notice an almost full roll in the dirty trash can with no lid next to the toilet. I figured it got wet or something. So I run out to the registers and wait for the next cashier. By this time I'm ready to do the potty dance. Anywho I tell the male cashier who says there should be some in there. I let him know that I checked both slots and there was nothing. At this point his female cohort speaks up to say that she knows there's some in there because the last customer was given a roll because she said they were out of TP. Remembering what I saw in the trash I told her that there was a roll in the trash. SO SHE TELLS THE DUDE TO GO GET IT AND PUT IT ON THE ROLL!!! When she said that I looked at her like you have got to be kidding! She sheepishly added, "if it's clean". Ew! W.T.F. I just grabbed hubby and told him to put down the fountain drink he was still filling and left for the White Castle across the street which was MUCH cleaner. Seriously, don't go here. It's dirty and it's gross.

I stop at this Speedway two or three times a week. I drive from Indianapolis where I live to…read moreCincinnati where my office is almost every day. This Speedway frequently has one of the lowest prices on gas on my trip. The primary issue here is lack of management/leadership in the store. I have complained to Speedway multiple times about the deplorable conditions. I have a Speedway card and have been loyal to Speedway for twenty years even as the gas stations across the country have deteriorated. The Harrison store is dirty and the restrooms are especially disgusting. The urinal in the men's room has been out of order for weeks and the toilet is generally dirty. The urinal just has a clear plastic bag stretched over it. The soap dispenser is empty at least 1/3 of the time. The bathroom smells like the outhouses I used as a kid at summer camp at the lake in part because the vent fam in the bathroom does not work. During the last month or so, all of the gas pumps have been out of order on five different days when I stopped for gas. The credit card machines on the pumps work about 90% of the time, when the pumps are working. The coolers where all of the cold drinks are kept have been down for about a week now and there is a sign on the door that they are not working. There is extra product sitting around the store and one reason for this is no one in the store is managing deliveries. Someone had put a sign up on the main door to the cooler a month or two ago that read something like, "Vendors please monitor your deliveries. It is getting ridiculous." There were so many case of unnecessary drinks sitting around it was difficult to get through to the bathroom. The napkin dispensers at the food station are typically empty and sometimes generic napkins that do not fit the dispensers are sitting on the counter. There is just absolutely no management at this store. It is really sad. Presumably the issue is Speedway and 7/11 do not want to pay someone to actually manage the store. That type of short sighted nonsensical corporate bad decision making is clearly impacting the income of the store and then some regional manager is probably wondering why the store is underperforming while some executive probably receives a bonus for keeping staffing costs in or under budget. Speedway was already struggling as other regional and national competitors like Sheetz and Royal Farms and others build their brands with newer and cleaner and better operated stores, which is why Speedway was an attractive takeover option for 7/11, another well established but aging brand that has developed a reputation for dirty and poorly operated stores.
