During my inspection, the manager, Dustyn Cook, claimed my brakes were out of adjustment and gave me two options: pay $21 an axle to have them adjusted on the spot or return to the mechanic who installed them. I chose to go back to my mechanic, who confirmed the brakes were already properly adjusted. To prove it, he accompanied me back to the Love's location and measured the brakes in front of Dustyn Cook. Only then did Dustyn admit, "Oh, they are at the right adjustment." This experience felt discriminatory and unprofessional. Love's should consider hiring staff who treat all customers fairly and respectfully, rather than driving them away.

It might be tucked inside a gas station, but don't let that fool you. The food is legit. I ordered one of their burgers (spicy chicken) and it was stacked with flavor -- fresh veggies, grilled onions, and perfectly toasted sour dough bread. Every bite was awesome. The steak fries on the side were super tasty too. And my friends had curly fries, which were crispy and addicting. I definitely liked those more. They also had 2 house sauce bottles on the table that took things to another level -- definitely try it if you go. The vibes were relaxed and the staff was really friendly, which made the whole experience even better. If you're anywhere near La Porte and in the mood for a solid burger/nachos/wings, check this place out. Big Mouth is officially on my favorites list!
