I actually want to keep coming back, which is why I think it's worth bringing up. When I walked in, there wasn't anyone working the front counter. Several employees were outside near the patio area arguing with another employee who was sitting outside. From what I could hear, they were arguing about the cost of a side of guacamole. Meanwhile, no one was at the register, helping customers, or visibly preparing food. Eventually I was able to place an order for a chicken salad. I was told they were completely out of white rice and it would be about 40 minutes before more was available. That wasn't a big deal since I wasn't planning on getting rice anyway. The employee started serving the chicken, but the portion was much smaller than normal. I asked if that was the standard serving size, and he told me it wasn't, but they were running low on chicken and were trying to stretch what they had left. That was when I actually looked more closely at the chicken and became uncomfortable. It looked cold and underprepared. I can't say for certain whether it was undercooked, but it definitely didn't look right to me. Between that, the ingredient shortages, and everything I had already seen when I walked in, I decided not to continue with the order. As I stepped away, the employee looked at the customer behind me and sarcastically asked if they wanted a free chicken salad. The customer looked just as unsure about ordering as I was. To be fair, I don't think this is about one employee having a bad attitude. The whole restaurant felt disorganized and understaffed, and everyone seemed frustrated. I don't want anyone to get in trouble. My concern is that customers are being served in an environment where basic operations don't seem to be under control.
