Farmhaus Burger in downtown Augusta delivered one of those quietly satisfying Saturday night…read moreexperiences where the neighborhood feels packed to the edges but the restaurant itself gives you room to breathe. Parking was its usual Broad Street challenge, yet once inside there was plenty of space and an easygoing rhythm to the dining room. The only real hiccup was the slightly counterintuitive flow of things, since you order first and then find a seat, and I wasn't the only one who walked in and paused awkwardly until someone pointed out the process. I've said for a while that you should stick to what a place is named for, because ordering chicken wings at a pizza shop or a barbecue joint has burned me more than once, but tonight I ignored that rule and it turned out to be the right call. Mrs. K took down my side of fries with enthusiasm while I focused on the wings, meaty and generously sauced, the kind you finish without a second thought and then sit back with a local beer feeling like you made exactly the right choice. Every single one was worth it, no regrets at all, a small delight tucked inside a busy Augusta evening. I did see two of those massively stacked burgers get delivered to another table and while I was a little jealous, I know that having it without the bun wouldn't have honored it the way it should be. Maybe when I'm not on keto. [Review 228 of 2026 - 928 in Georgia - 25417 overall]

Gourmet burger joint. Walk in at lunch and you can tell that it's extremely popular. Service was…read morequick despite the crowd, and the big juicy burger and fries were delicious, it's a lot of food for about a typical gourmet burger price. I like the old buildings downtown. They have a lot of character and this one is no exception. Plenty of seating, even for lunch.

I love Church's; a restaurant was in walking distance of the house we grew up in and lots of our…read morepocket money was spent there. It was with nostalgic anticipation that I pulled into the S. Augusta drive-through to place my order. Due to COVID-19 precautions, there wasn't a dine-in option; take out or drive through were my choices. It was a holiday weekend, so the demand was higher and the wait was longer than anticipated. We were told at the speaker to expect an additional 20 minute wait for chicken, but only one car abandoned the long queue. I took that as a sign of good things to come. The wait was far less than 20 minutes and the reward was most certainly worth it. The chicken was not only freshly cooked, but the rich, crispy, salty unctuous treasure of memory. Many of the local Church's Chicken restaurants have closed in the past few years. I couldn't tell you if it was from poor business management, franchisee collapse or competition. My goal will be to keep this one open.

Obviously you can see inside and the workers were literally all on their phones some of them would be walking away nobody was bagging food or anything.!! It's so lazy there they don't even walk the DoorDash out to you and what's even crazier you can be right in front of the store.!! I tried to go in one worker specifically the older lady yelled at me saying the doors are closed you gonna have to wait in the line. I wouldn't recommend this store especially at night and if you decide you want to do a DoorDash just be prepared to wait a good 30-40 minutes.
