The dress was able to be hemmed very quickly for a much cheaper price than had I gotten it done in the US (around $8). The service was very nice and helpful. I like how the stores are clean and neat, with a proper receiving area, counter, sewing area, and a fitting room. Even if you've fit the clothes already at home and have marked where/how you want them altered, it's good that the seamstresses at Paras always (nicely) insist that you put it on in their fitting rooms so they can check clearly what has to be done. They'll also be honest about whether it's gonna look good or awkward, and they'll give input on what would be better. They don't just do the work carelessly. They have a lot of services offered, from basic to general alteration. I think what ultimately sold me on them was when I had this football jersey resized because it was at least two sizes too big for my dad and he couldn't wear it. I bought it as a gift and was pretty expensive, so I really wanted to see if anyone could do something to it. They were confident at Paras that they could fix the size so I reluctantly gave it to them. True enough, they successfully made it smaller and it still looked perfect! Exactly the same, but with the right size. Amaaaazing. Now I know what legit, skilled seamstresses can do!

I did learn from a friend back in college to always get my pants cut to fit and hemmed and it's been a habit ever since when buying pants to have them altered. I frequented Alterations Plus before when it was along the second floor Gateway hallway near the LRT turnstiles. The area was always a crowded thoroughfare, but a visit to their business was always pleasant. The staff were always cordial and the place smelled of synthetic fruit. :) Plus they always did my pants justice, even if I sometimes got them cut a little higher than they should be and ended up bitin. Bitin is in na naman, so it's all good. They increased their prices through the course of time though, so it was off to find other cheaper places to get my pants done. But even if I did get to pay less to get alterations, I was not satisfied with the work I got and I realized I should have just stuck to Alterations Plus. A true testament to their skill was when I got a good sized hole in a knit pullover and no one else would take it. I was all ready to hike to Kamuning to hunt for a good tailor to put a patch over it, when I thought to bring it to Alterations Plus and they sewed it right up! I now know I will be forever their suki.

The staff are easy to talk to and they are patient when you go in to fit your clothes. They do the work fast (1-3 days depending on what you need and sometimes even the same day itself!) and they don't compromise the quality of their work either. There was one time when the length of my pants was still not what I hoped for after they altered it. I just went back and told them I wasn't so happy about it and they immediately worked on it and had it done within 2 hours without extra pay. I'm so happy with their services and I'm glad that I can easily go them when I need their services.

They told me to come back the next day and I was so pleased with the job that they did. Very clean stitches and not to mention very fast service. I definitely wouldn't hesitate to come back. Staff was polite too.

Made 2 Measure
M2M is a recent favorite of mine to get my clothes altered (I'm not sure if the owner knew that…read moretheir acronym would be the same as the 90's girl band). When I walked in, I was immediately greeted with a smile and "How can I help you?" I told them that I wanted to get a suit and a pair of pants altered, since I lost some weight since I bought it. The cloth was still in a pretty good condition (only a few years old), so I'd hate to see it go to waste. When I fit on the suit, the tailor didn't even need a measuring tape. All he did was take out this jar of pins, and started folding and pinning on my suit. Before I knew it, I looked at myself in the mirror and liked how the suit fit on me, so I told them to go ahead with it. It was a bit more amazing when I fit on the pants. Again, he took the pins out instead of a measuring tape, and started pinning in places to adjust the size. I think it was really the first time I saw a tailor play it by how something fit, instead of fitting it to my measurements. About a week later, I received a text saying that my suit was ready for pickup, and really enjoyed the results. I think I'll come back here to have them alter the rest of the wardrobe that I bought when I had a bit of extra weight. The only real negative thing I can say about them is that it's a cash-only basis, but other than that, A++.

Dropped off a couple of tailored shirts that needed sleeve adjustments and some delicate hemming on silk pants--plus my favorite leather bag for a deep clean and conditioning. The team was super attentive, explained everything clearly, and even caught a small tear I hadn't noticed on one shirt before it got worse. Everything came back looking brand new, perfect stitches, no shortcuts, and the bag smells amazing again. Prices feel totally fair for the level of care and expertise you get--no redos needed, ever. Hands down the best alterations and cleaning spot around--5 stars all the way, I keep sending friends here too!

You'll have to end up buying new clothes since there's no repairing the damage their "alterations" have done. Hemming- kita the stitches outside. They said they didn't have the machine that could hide the stitches, so even if they repeated the job, the effect would be the same. I wish they had the courtesy to say that in the first place. Stitching - they only used ONE thread that could easily break if the item was stretched. Specifics were not followed despite repeated instructions- they ruined the silhouette of the clothes despite having agreed to leave allowance for comfort. No going back from that. Worst of all- deadma ang customer service. Take it or leave it. Terrible experience, mapapa walk out ka na lang. Please please please do yourself a favor and STEER CLEAR of this place. Alterrific
I don't think you'll find any other alterations shop that's prettier than Alterrific. Try going to…read moretheir store and you probably won't want to get your stuff altered anywhere else. The place is along what I would like to call the "bleh zone" of Robinsons Magnolia, since it's beside the stores you would only need to visit to even end up in the area, but even so they've managed to create an attractive establishment, decked out in chic grays and pastels and clean blacks and adorned in a few cute knick-knacks. They even have a few hardbound books on fashion on the shelves, which I've briskly enjoyed whiling my time in the store. The thing is that they're too attractive, and everyone gets their stuff done there. The space is pretty small, and there's only one dressing room (that looks like it doubles as their sewing area too), so prepare to wait if there's a few of you in the store. And I suppose there aren't that many alteration shops in the area as their shelves and floorspace are lined with bags of clothes that people had done. Though they're quite near me and I like the job they do cutting and hemming my pants, I try to get the work done elsewhere. Alterrific, you're beautiful, but it's too much. At least you're doing well!
