One man from Cintas showed up to my place of business looking to sell us a uniform service. I was very hesitant because of the price, but Travis was very persistent. The cost at the time was reasonable, and I decided to try to use them. My biggest reservation to the salesman was that if our company ever got to a place where we couldn't afford the service any more, I would be able to cancel. He assured me numerous times that we could. His exact words were "You have to have a reason to cancel, and one of those reasons can be that you can't afford it anymore. The reason can be anything. I WAS NOT going to use this service until he told me that. That was enough for me to give them a chance and for me to purchase their subscription uniform service. Everything went fine for a while, until our company started slowing down. We weren't able to make the payments like we used to be able to, and we were looking for ways to become profitable in our business again. We in fact, could not afford the service anymore. No problem, I will reach out to Cameron (our service provider). They set up a time for a phone call. He told me that he couldn't cancel the service, but was able to drop our price down to just $25 a week, and remove some of the services. We did that, even though I didn't feel good about it. The salesman (Travis) explicitly told me I could cancel. A few months later, after this bill continues to grow, I reach back out to in fact cancel, just like Travis told me I could do. They set up a time for a phone call with somebody, and he tells me that if I have to cancel, there will be a fee of over $8000. At about the same time, our bill jumps back up to over $40. My complaint is not with the price. My complaint is that Travis lied to me. He showed up at our place of business and lied to me just to get a sale, and now they will not stand behind their salesman's actions. All I ask is for a cancellation without the $8000 fee like Travis told me I could do. read more
