I tend to be the one on my team at work who organizes team events. We have an intern this summer. I…read moreget a bit of a break. Sort of. She is in charge of our summer event. Everyone has been suggesting ideas. My suggestions come flowing out because it's just my nature. One of them is Claw Land. I know that a handful of folks like that idea. However, they are mainly the younger folks on the team. We have three older men to convince. We'll see what happens. My recommendation comes from my experience playing claw games here a few months ago. It was a Yelp experience. For someone who has genuinely sucked at claw games in my life, playing them here boosted my confidence. Staff take the time to show you how to play the game and truly want you to succeed. We were trying to figure out how much it would be for a group to come here. We have the option to book a private event for two hours. Tokens are 15% off the regular price and start at 1000 tokens for $500. We'd have the place for two hours, with seating for ten people. The catch is that this blocked time has to be on a weekend. Bummer. We were hoping for a weekday. We asked if we could just play on a Friday. Yes! We'd have to negotiate tokens for a smaller group of eight folks, but things look promising right now. It's on budget and it's fairly close to our office. It was roughly a twenty-minute drive to get there after work on a Wednesday. Claw Land is located in a plaza with lots of parking. I didn't have any issues finding a parking spot. Staff are nice. One female staffer showed how to play on one of the numerous claw machines. She also pointed out that each machine has a level of difficulty rating and points that you get if you win. Cool! I seriously thought that I'd be horrible at the easy claw machines. They actually built my confidence up. I won two plushies on two different easy-level machines. Insane and cool! Say yes to a cart! I thought that I wouldn't win any plushies, but everyone is a winner here. You can trade your plushies up for different ones. I traded up for two larger plushies. This place didn't have a tip jar. I wanted to tip so badly. The woman said that writing a review is a good equivalent. Here it is! I'm hoping that our team says yes to coming here for our event. Otherwise, I may need to gather my colleagues for an after-work claw game event for us. (244)

Initially, I was not getting the hang of it due to numerous failed attempts but the staff were so helpful. Their plushies were so cute and attractive that you would be confused which machine to play. Each machine though has a different level of difficulty and amount of coins required to play. Also, each plushy has a corresponding point so you can exchange the plushies for a bigger one.

So when I needed glasses and plates for my recent 30th birthday soirée. I shopped around online (correction my wonderful girlfriend did the research for me). She found that most estimates were $10-40 more than Action, there prices and selection of specialty cocktail glasses were second to none. Aside from glassware, these guys have Everything one would need to throw a soirée or gala in your own backyard... Literally. Tiki hut bars, pop up tents of various sizes, cotton candy machines, ice tables, and more and more - check their website. The store is located just off of Mavis, if you know where Metal Works Studios is, it's basically to the rear of that parking lot. As for the process, smooth and simple. The staff helped coordinate everything I needed over the phone and vial email. On pick up day they were ready a day before, on drop off day they came to my car and helped me unload in about 5 minutes and we were done. I don't throw many parties in my personal life but when I do from now on... I'm taking ACTION!

Ryan returned my call, I told him what I needed and he said that he had a tent for me and would send someone to check out our deck. I explained that we were going away camping for two weeks with very limited access to the internet. He said that wasn't a problem and that he would put aside a tent for us. He did send someone to check out the space for the tent and all was well. He wrote to say it would work. I immediately responded and told him to let me know how we could put a deposit down. He replied by email that I could call him with the credit card information or fill in the online form. The later would not work as we were camping so I phoned and left two or three voice messages giving him the Visa info. I did not want to do it all in one phone call as I felt uncomfortable with that. I also went to a place with Internet and wrote and told him that I had left a voice message with all the info and to please email me and let me know that he had received the necessary information needed for the deposit. On coming home I repeatedly phoned and emailed to see if we did have the tent. I left messages saying that I was really getting concerned as this was a post wedding brunch for my daughter and that I needed to know. I never was given the courtesy of a response which I find to be very unprofessional. If he had just let me know where we stood then I would not have written this review. I am wondering if the company is still in existence or if something has happened to Ryan. They have two phone numbers. I tried them both but the voice message on both number numbers was Ryan. We ended up getting the tent from another company in a fast, professional manner. Too many companies renting tents to put up with unprofessional, cavalier treatment offered by Action Party Rental.
