This is my review of Cindy's Singles membership club. To be clear, a membership costs $600 and lasts three months. I bought one membership in December of 2019 and another in 2023. I was first recommended to join by a coworker who had happily married a Chinese woman through Cindy's. I thought it was a good idea because I was beginning to want to settle down. Additionally, her office is three blocks from my house. My friend arranged for me to meet Cindy in her office. Before going, I checked out the website and browsed the gallery of female members. On the day I showed up, Cindy presented three notebooks and gave me a piece of paper to write down the members I wanted to meet. I think I wrote down twenty names but was only introduced to two women from that list. A few days later, she sent me a WeChat contact for a girl pretty in her 30s like me. I thought this first match would be the one, but my excitement faded when my friend, who had recommended the service, told me that this girlwas actually Cindy's niece and was already in a relationship with another man. At that point, I realized the service wasn't what I thought it was. However, feeling desperate, I assumed it might have been a mistake by Cindy, so I shouldn't worry. I thought her notebooks full of women would be effective, but it turned out they were outdated, and most of the women had either changed locations or were now married. Cindy makes matches based on birth years. I was born in 1983, so she introduced me to women born around that year.She claims. For some of the matches, I would contact the girls, but they wouldn't respond or didn't know I had been given their contact information by Cindy. There were many awkward WeChat messages. In most cases, you are given the WeChat contact of a girl who is also being contacted by four other guys at the same time. Many matches require you to meet the girl in Cindy's office. What you don't know is that the girl is sitting there all day meeting other men. You often walk in to see flowers and gifts from other members. Here are some examples of matches Cindy made: Example 1: One match she arranged for me was a girl who needed to be picked up from a supermarket and brought to Cindy's office. I never spoke to her again. Example 2: Another match was a girl who was already in a relationship, which she told me on our first date. A week prior, she had been single in Cindy's office, but by our date, she was already in a relationship. Example 3: Another match Cindy made for me was rumored to be transgender. I don't know for sure, but several members told me this. I never indicated that I was interested in transgender individuals. Example 4: A flight attendant who later told me she only joined Cindy's to network and find people to play board games with on weekends. Probably my only successful match was a teacher I went out with a few times, and we became intimate. The only problem was that she was dating a much older white man from Cindy's, and I saw them out on a date at the mall. It was very embarrassing for me. If you are introduced at a party, your chances are even worse. As I mentioned in my previous review, the parties are poorly organized, and priority is given to the sponsor and other Chinese members. At my first party, Cindy told me she would introduce me to anyone I was interested in. A few times, I asked her, "Hey, can you introduce me to that member?" and she would get a panicked look and say the girl was not a member. Many times, I was introduced to women who couldn't speak English, and Cindy would walk away, leaving the girl looking very confused. At one particular party, I told Cindy to introduce me to one girl, and she told me to come back later. When I returned hours later after taking care of my mom, who had a broken hip, Cindy said she didn't want to interrupt another guy who was talking to the girl. Very insulting. The next day she called me up and asked to to come to her house to meet an attractive Taiwanese female I hadn't seen before. Very early on, Cindy said my pictures were "scary." She didn't give me any advice on how to take a new picture or even ask me for another; she just told me I was "scary." Upon renewing my membership, I had to ask her to change my picture. The picture wasn't bad. A few weeks ago, I spoke to Cindy about the failures of her service, and she explained that another female member had been telling other female members I was a playboy. She never spoke to this other member or told them to stop apparently. It's shocking and hurtful that she would tell me this years later after taking my money. She even offered to set me up again with her niece (now engaged). Cindy has a lot of influence over the girls you are matched with. If she doesn't like you personally, then there's not much she will do for you. There's little thought put into matches other than making you feel like you have choices. She just keeps you hoping. read more

I went to Cindy's Singles about a year ago. I hated it so much i said to myself i would never go again. A friend talked me into meeting him there because he didn't want to go alone. I told him what i thought about the place but i guess he had to learn for himself. Most of the men there are very average looking to not very attractive. The few women that work there introduces them to the "regulars" , the semi attractive women that are there to bring in men. It reminds me of the 'dime a dance' clubs where you pay money to dance with women. Its the same thing here. Men are introduced to women that have no intention at all in continuing anything outside of going to that club. Kind of a scam if you ask me. And the women that do go looking for men are all Chinese and most either do not speak English or very little English. It's like pulling teeth trying to have a conversation with them. It's $25 to get in and they serve finger food. The music is very loud disco music, so with that going on it's even harder to talk to someone. Well my friend even left before i did and told me "Yes, i see what you mean Ron". If i could rate this NO STARS i would. So guys out there if you intend on meeting someone a woman here to start something outside of this place forget it. Don't waste your time. read more

I've attended the dances intermittently over the past 2 years. I have gotten phone numbers and met some women on dates. Many, many that can marginally speak English are very focused on much money I have and make and if I own my own home. This is very important to many Chinese women without even getting to the point if we get along or have chemistry together. read more

I met Cindy about eight years ago and have attended her parties and became a member. At her parties she always took the time to personally make me feel comfortable and would even introduce me to several ladies. If there was mutual interest and I wanted to get to know the lady and the music prevented us from hearing each other, like all dance clubs, we would walk into the hall and talk there. As a member she introduced me to several quality woman. So my experience has been great. Recommended it highly! read more

What follows is just my opinion--but it is based on my experience of attending Cindy's parties for a *very* long time. So, take it for what you feel it's worth. More often than not, Cindy appears to set-up her parties in a way that makes it impossible to connect with someone. Lights are dimmed to the point that you can barely see someone's face (done to hide the ladies' real ages, maybe?) and her (either arrogant or deaf) DJ plays the music (the same music every week) at ear-bleedingly loud levels--such that it is impossible to have a conversation with someone without being a lip-reader. These parties used to be much better (a) before 9/11/2001 (when there were more female college students from the PRC to be found locally) and (b) before Cindy became obsessed with having a party every single week (for the purpose of trouncing a former business partner who went into competition with her). While I personally consider Cindy to be a very nice person herself, it seems more than just coincidental that the dark lighting and the excessive music volume are the *chronic* problems at her parties. It certainly looks intentional to me--and to many others. She's been told about this *way* too many times by way too many people. Her logic, I presume, is this... Cindy makes her money by people repeatedly attending her parties. If they actually meet someone special, they won't keep coming back, will they? So, the purpose of the party seems more to bait you and then to get you to buy a membership--through which you will be later given the phone numbers you might not have been able to obtain the night you could barely see or hear. We go to these parties to potentially meet someone who could become a friend, partner, or hopefully even a spouse. As such, we need to be able to see and be able to have a conversation without impairment. The dancing is only incidental and should not overpower the evening to the point that the purpose of the evening is utterly defeated. I could discuss other matters, like the type of women who attend and the quality of food, but that's better left for another essay. Cindy, for now, you need to replace the DJ--or just simply buy several premixed dance CD's and let them play in the BG on your own sound system, loud enough to dance to but not so loud that it ruins your party for everyone (except maybe the DJ's personal friends). Right now, I'm sad to say, your competition is actually scoring higher. read more

I had heard about Cindy's singles dance party from a friend so I thought I would give it a try. Boy I am glad did I had a lot of fun there's a lot of really nice people there. Good food and lots of friendly people to dance with and to talk with. I can't wait to go back again next Saturday night. Cindy's a very nice lady. I love the parties every Saturday! The music is great! Great place to meet singles. A lot of pretty Asian girls and the crowd is friendly. I have gone on couple of dates and have had a good experience. Cindy is so friendly and is great at introducing the right people to each other! I like this place because it is better than meeting someone online or at the bar! Parties are usually held locally in Alhambra. Highly Recommend Cindys SIngles. Cindy works tirelessly to find you a perfect match. She is easy to reach by at one of her three offices, and by email and telephone too.. Cindy retuirns your phone call promptly and spends considerable amount of time and effort to find you the 'perfect' match based on your criteria. Cindy has many members to choose from the matchmaking offices or by attending her wonderful weekly dance parties. There are always new people joining the matching service and also to meet at tthe weekly parties. There is wonderful dance music to listen too or dance and yes very easy to just talk and get acquainted. Everyone is very friendly and you will feel quite comfortable at the parties..so try it and find out for yourself...nothing to lose but happiness awaits The food is s great so come early and you will have a great time. And yes the prices are very reasonable. The crowd in attendance is all ages and very many pretty single well dressed Chinese ladies to meet and talk too. Cindy really cares about her clients and is a wonderful woman that wants to bring eternal happiness to all her many thousands of clients over the years. She is the best! read more
