I booked this salon for my wedding after another salon in town double booked my wedding (when I booked first). The salon was very professional and courteous when I booked with them over the phone. We had agreed upon prices that I was quoted by Brook in an email, as well as confirmed numerous times before booking.
On the day before the wedding, I had an appointment for hair and makeup trial. My mother, grandmother, sister and I also had nail appointments. We arrived late due to an accident that closed part of the highway, but we had called in advance letting the salon know that we were running late to which they responded, "no problem, thanks for letting us know". However, when we arrived for our appointments we were greeted by a lot of rolling of the eyes and rude comments. One of the women, I believe her name was Nora was supposed to handle manicures told my mother that "she didn't have time to do a french gel manicure-- what my mom wanted and she could only do a regular polish. The hairstylist ,Brook, who was responsible for my hair trial ran some curlers and bobby pins through my hair, not finishing the look and charged me the same price for my wedding day hair for that "trial". I was told over the phone that my hair trial would be $45 and I was charged $65. Then the day of my wedding my bridesmaids were each charged $65 for hair when the salon had told me on the phone that the cost would be between $45-55 for hair, and then they charged me and my bridesmaids each $65 for makeup. We had spoken about the make up cost earlier they told me that each of us would be charged $40 for makeup. When I questioned them about the discrepancy the said that the price stands and that they did not tell me anything different earlier. My hairstylists left before I was done with makeup, rather than waiting until I had left the salon to ensure that my hair didn't need any touch ups before I left for my wedding. The makeup artist, Robin, was very nice, but ended up having to touch up my hair before I left. One of my bridesmaids ending up having to pin a part of my hair up before the ceremony because it fell down. On top of that one of my bridesmaids curls came out before the ceremony. While the bridesmaids were waiting for my makeup to be finished up, one of the hairstylists (Rebecca) asked rudely who was going to take care of their bill. She insisted on getting each tab paid out immediately. Even after being charged higher prices than we were promised at the point of booking, my girls and I also tipped.
Please take heed, and do not book your wedding party here. I regret that I have to write this type of review, but I was extremely upset at how we were treated the weekend of my wedding and taken advantage of by this salon. read more
