Valet is apparently free, but I found street parking in front of OSPI. I initially found SAGE on Yelp, then visited their website to learn more before booking. I really appreciated how transparent they are. Each stylist has a profile with a bio and a picture. The services and individual pricings are listed upfront in the booking portal, which made it easy to choose someone who fit what I was looking for. Price transparency is important to me, and at the very end I was charged exactly what I booked. My stylist was Mikayla, and she was incredibly meticulous/detail-oriented. She spent about 4.5 hours perfecting my Full Highlights, and I never felt like she was rushing through any part of the process. During the consultation, I felt heard. She listened to what I wanted without any judgment or pressure to steer me toward a different outcome. Instead, the conversation felt collaborative, with explanations that helped me make informed decisions. I know for some, having to chat for all that time may be daunting. Mikayla struck the perfect balance between friendly conversation and giving me space. She clearly communicated each step of the process before doing it. My Full Highlights service included foiling, toning, a shadow root, a hair mask, and a full blowout. I'm so happy with how everything turned out!

Colby really took the time to listen to what I wanted and understood exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to keep my long hair while adding movement and shape, and he absolutely nailed it. My hair finally looks the way I had envisioned. Beyond his talent, he was incredibly kind and thoughtful throughout the appointment. Before I left, he even let me know that if there was anything I'd like adjusted after living with the haircut for a few days, he'd be happy to take care of it. That level of care and attention really stood out. I'm so glad I found both SAGE and Colby. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a stylist who truly listens and delivers.

I have thick, stubborn, and coarse hair. Most people one can't style or cut my hair correctly. Only Gabe. I have recommended him to my friends and family over the years and they keep coming back to him as well. Additionally, he did hair in Italy for some high profile clients. I'm SO happy I found him when he came back to the USA. The salon is nice and the other stylists seem friendly. I haven't gone to them for their services yet, but if I am in dire straits and if I don't have GABE available, I would happily go to them. Mimi is SO sweet and so is the Italian salon owner. That said, I really enjoy coming here. The decor of the place is charming, the atmosphere is nice, and everyone here is very friendly for the most part. I will continue to go to this salon for as long as Gabe is here. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Grays? What grays? I…read morebooked an appointment with Tracy for balayage after seeing how amazing she made my friend's hair look. She was booked solid for two weeks, so definitely book in advance if you want an appointment. The salon is located near the beach, so parking can be limited, but Tracy texted me ahead of time with parking instructions and even saved me a spot right in front of the salon. The salon itself is clean and welcoming. They also sell handmade jewelry created by one of the staff members, and there was even a tarot reader set up outside, which added to the fun and unique vibe. I came in feeling pretty self-conscious about my hair. My grays were becoming more noticeable, my color had grown out, and my hair was looking dry and tired. Tracy immediately put me at ease. She asked what I wanted, took one look at my hair, and confidently reassured me that she would blend my grays and give me a natural result. At that point, I trusted her completely and let her do her thing. One thing I wasn't expecting was how amazing the shampoo experience would be. Her scalp massage felt incredible and was honestly one of the best parts of the appointment. Since Luna's is also a head spa, it makes sense that they pay extra attention to the scalp experience. It was so relaxing that I found myself wishing it would last longer. Tracy is personable, confident, and gives off total boss woman energy. You can tell she knows exactly what she's doing. After coloring my hair, she even went the extra mile and offered me a complimentary trim just to make it perfect. When she finished, she styled my hair both straight and curled so I could really see the dimension and color. The result exceeded my expectations. My grays completely disappeared into the color, and the balayage looks soft, natural, and beautifully blended. My hair looks healthier, shinier, and so much more refreshed. I left feeling like a new person and could not stop looking at my hair. If you're looking for someone who specializes in color and balayage, Tracy is your girl. And if you're looking for a little extra pampering, definitely check out their head spa services as well. Don't overthink it. Just book the appointment. You won't regret it.

I can honestly say that Kat has given me the best haircuts of my life, and that's not an exaggeration! She's incredibly talented, creative, and genuinely passionate about what she does. She's friendly, engaging, and makes every appointment something to look forward to. It's rare to find someone who combines that level of talent with such a great personality. If you're looking for a truly outstanding stylist who takes pride in her work, I can't recommend Kat highly enough. I look forward to seeing her every three weeks. She's earned herself a loyal customer. Five stars all around!

I visited this salon about a week ago for a straight bob haircut. My hair is slightly wavy. When I…read moreleft the salon, I did not notice anything wrong with the haircut because my hair had been styled with a round brush. The entire service at David salon--including washing, cutting, drying, and paying at the reception--took only about 20 minutes. I was surprised by how quickly everything was done and, looking back, I wish I had paid more attention to how rushed the service seemed. I paid $85 including tip for the haircut. Based on my experience, I would recommend asking about the stylist's level of experience and exactly what is included in the service before booking. At one point, the hairstylist called over someone more experienced to show them her work and mentioned that I was "not her model." That comment made me uncomfortable, and I wish I had spoken up at the time. However, few days ago, I have my hair straightened with a flat iron. That was when it became obvious that my haircut was uneven. My advice is to choose your hairstylist carefully, especially if you want a precise bob or another haircut where the lines need to be very even. I would also suggest discussing your expectations and budget beforehand so you know what level of service you are receiving. It looks like decent haircut service at this place starts at around $120. Upd: you wrote "We would have appreciated the opportunity to address your concerns directly when you first noticed the issue." The unevenness only became visible a few days later when my hair was flat-ironed. I didn't notice it at the salon because it had been styled with a round brush. So there was no opportunity for me to raise it "when I first noticed" during the appointment - the issue wasn't apparent until later. That's why I left the review after the fact.

Even though I only came in for a haircut, she took the time to give me honest advice about my hair. She recommended that I should focus on treating and restoring my hair first, and then come back next time for coloring so the results would look better and healthier. What really impressed me was her thoughtfulness -- she noticed that my roots had grown out unevenly in color, so she went ahead and blended the color to match the rest of my hair. And she didn't charge me anything extra for it, only for the haircut. You can truly tell that she cares about her clients and takes pride in her work. She's not only skilled but also very genuine and attentive. I will definitely be coming back to her again Highly recommend her if you're looking for someone talented, honest, and kind!
