The focus is mainly American vintage from the 60s-70s and the majority of the stock reflects this, but they have everything from 40s to 90s - you just need to have a good rummage! Fans of converse and vans if you haven't heard of Top Banana where have you been?! They have LOADS and prices range from £15-£25. Prices are very reasonable but don't expect bargain basement prices like £1 etc.. this is quality merchandise which would set you back a pretty penny down south! All of the items I have bought from Top Banana have a timeless quality about them that only get better with age. They also sell a few other items that you would expect from a newsagents; confectionary, snacks, a few groceries and the usual bits and bobs. It was quite busy when I visited, full of people getting things for lunch! The man who served me was very friendly, but he was quite busy and I think he just wanted to get through the queue of people, which is understandable! The prices were moderate, but then again, I only got the reading material and they have no control over those prices. Overall, it is a standard newsagents.

I found a suitable bottle of wine fairly easily and on my way to the counter I managed to also grab some chocolate, which was very convenient for me. The guy that served me was very nice and we chatted briefly about the miserable weather. The prices were moderate for a convenience store and I found exactly what I needed, yes, wine and chocolate! I've been going in there since my childhood days, so I've come to know the ins and outs of the entire store. Price's are cheap to reasonable, and they sell a delicious large carton of orange for £2 which I always go in for. I highly recommend it! Zeb's is great for kids, but maybe not so great for parents, as children usually end up nagging for sweets every time they go inside. The selection of sweets is really great though, and I also remember trying my hardest to persuade my own parents to buy most of the sweet isle. Even today, I sometimes fail to resist the odd Dib Dab. The shop used to have a DVD store at the back of it too, I've bought some great films from there including Con Air for £1. I really miss that section of the shop, but I'm hoping they bring it back. I know it's very tempting to be turned off even setting foot in the shop on the basis of the name alone (I mean, who wants to say that they buy their clothes from Clearout? It doesn't exactly scream prestige and class, does it?). To be fair, it's certainly an accurate name, as the prices are incredible low, with a probably average of around £4 for every item in the shop, which is some achievement. It's not the most well organised shop, but then I doubt many will go in expected displays reminiscent of Parisian boutiques. I'd recommend going in and having a quick browse to see if you can sniff out a bargain, but there are alternatives that are still relatively cheap but much more organised (Peacocks and Store Twenty One) nearby.

This isn't the best of their shops as it's quite small but it's worth popping in there one a month or so to see what they have in. The outside display is usually dining and coffee tables, plus the odd thing like a standard lamp or an armchair. Inside you'll find sofas, wardrobes, beds and cabinets. The main reason for supporting Betel is that it is a charity that works with people who have had issues with drugs, alcohol and homelessness. As part of their assistance to such people Betel provides skills and jobs to those they help, and this store is often staffed by beneficiaries of the charity's assistance. Much of the furniture will have been renovated by Betel workers. They will deliver anything you buy for a small charge and there is often room for negotiation on price.

I only came to post a small parcel as I was passing through the area and wanted to get the queuing over and done with. It stocks a variety of other things; parcel tape, general packaging, cards, labels and so on. All of which is expected in a post office. Overall, the service is good, the waiting time is not too bad and it was convenient for me.

I still use this post office everyday and highly recommend it as it has some great bargains and low waiting times.
