From facial cleansers, to make up, to nail polish, to heart monitor thingies, shampoo's, dyes... And quite a few lip balms too for those of us that are lip balm freaks. Great little pharmacy to pick up things that you need to grab on your way home.

Located on Burwood Rd, about a dozen metres from the train station, Pikes offers friendly service, no matter what time of the day (or night). With so much competition in the area, Pike's prices are reasonable, but not as cheap as the two Chemist Warhouse's along Burwood Rd. But their late night, and Sunday trade (9am-10pm) ensures they don't have to slash prices in order to make a profit. Pike's Pharmacy is the prefect place to fill a prescription at the last minute when everywhere else is closed. Pop in and see for yourself.

It is marketed as a wholesale pharmacy, and some items if on sale are definitely cheaper than in the supermarkets or other pharmacies. I was going there for this exact reason, I buy Nutraplus moisturiser (lots of it) and it is wholesale around $27. This place was selling it for this price for a while, but then jacked it up to over $32. I can buy online for cheaper, so that's what I am doing, but I would prefer to buy locally and support local business where possible. Anyway, the whole sale price has not increased online so I don't know why these guys are selling it for so much. That aside, there is a GP in the back of the shop, which is really handy if you need to see someone about a minor ailment and then you are straight in the pharmacy to fill the prescription. So convenient!

It's a small but well stocked Pharmacy and has everything you would need from a chemist. They have vitamins and minerals, baby needs, skin care and of course they fill prescriptions. There are so many pharmacies in every single suburb, it's tough to think how any could survive and topple the others in a bid for Pharmacy supremacy, but they all manage to and I guess there's enough demand for life prolonging drugs and youth enhancing creams that each pharmacy can have their own customers and live in harmony with the surrounding ones as well. The Pharmacy is a clean, new and well located Pharmacy, halfway between Leichhardt's famous Norton Street and Leichhardt's biggest shopping centre, Marketplace. Its proximity to the popular bus stop near Elswick Street ensures it receives plenty of foot traffic and the fact that it is situated diagonally across from a doctors office, can't be bad for business either.
