Ironically, four of my friends joined me for dinner at Cinco Amigos. Folks in the area really like Cinco Amigos, and I didn't know there was a location in Loudon too. The chips were warm and the salsa had a nice bite to it. I ordered the Mexican Flag Burrito (red, white, and green sauces) and I really liked that idea as a presentation. I couldn't decide between fajita chicken and fajita beef, so the waiter recommended I order both. Basically, it's fajitas but inside a burrito, with onions and peppers as well. I wasn't a fan of the beef as it felt grisly and not well seasoned, but the chicken was grilled perfectly. I also got a ground beef quesadilla, which I would not recommend. So I'll avoid the beef and focus on the chicken next time, whether or not I'm able to bring four amigos along with me. read more

We wanted Mexican for lunch, what better location to stop here. We sat outside on the porch. I had the Chicken Chimichanga with no rice and no beans- the Chimichanga was a good size and chunked full of chicken and covered with cheese, there was hardly any spice or onions and peppers in it. To me, it was very bland, not the worst I have had, but certainly not the best. Salsa- very watery. Spices were spotty Cheese dip- got a little kick to it, pretty good! Enchilada- hamburger was cooked well but again, needed spice. Chili Rio- a little watery, pepper could have been a little crisper. I would try it again to see if it got any better. Decent Mexican food for Eastern Tennessee standards. Being biased as a recent transplant from California kinda hard to compare. I had the steak fajitas and found them to be decent but a little lacking in seasoning. The grilled veggies were slightly undercooked. Trying there salsa and found it to be basically tomato forward without much heat or seasoning. There bar is small but perfect for having a drink and a quick meal. Been wanting to try this place for so long and glad I finally did. This might even be 5-stars if you consider it's basically a simple Mexican restaurant in a small town. Chips and salsa were a bit above par; good beer selection and I believe a full booze menu (margaritas, at least). Very good and friendly service. Solid menu with all the basics and a good amount of more specialized dishes. I was happy to see birria tacos and jumped on that right away. The tacos were delicious-- meaty with a good dipping sauce. Even though I don't usually care whether a dish has the regular sides of rice and beans, I was surprised there were no sides at all-- just three (meaty) tacos. Really tasty, and birria tacos aren't that common at this kind of place. If I'm in the area I'll definitely go again. read more

My husband and I sat down to eat dinner. We first were told we were to pay $17.00 for 3 tacos plus fajitas for $15 and then the food was terrible. Then as we were sitting there "trying" to enjoy our meal, he told us no pets allowed. The website says pets are welcome; however, this is apparently not true. So my husband had to get up and put our dog back in the truck as we were trying to eat (90 degree day). The waiter had an attitude with us and was far from being a good waiter. My husband had to find the waiter to pay. Then the husband tried to speak with the waiter about our experience, and he had an attitude/multiple excuses. We were visiting the area and were craving Mexican food, but I still wanted to eat fairly healthy. This place was perfect !!! I ordered the steamed vegetable plate with grilled shrimp. The shrimp were large, nicely seasoned, and grilled to perfection. The vegetables were also nicely seasoned, steamed and had a grilled taste. We were very happy with the food and service. New to TN, we were looking for a good Mexican restaurant. We've found our place. Good prices, and good menu. I stuck with two tacos, rice and beans; my old stand by. I order this when I try out a new restaurant; until I know how the food tastes. But next time I'll try some other menu items. I want to try the Carne Asada. Our friend ordered that and it looked delicious. He said it was. Our other friend loved her Chili Rellenos. I have a very delicate stomach. I have been a regular customer for years, and now because of the experience I had today I will NEVER eat here again. For the last 10 weeks I have come once a week and ordered lunch(I was informed today that 2 tacos is not a meal). I use the restaurant as a good location for the gentleman I mentor every week, both of us order lunch every week. Today...for the first time in 10 weeks!.... I was provided lunch from my place of work and did not need to order. Today I was seated as normal.... today I was given my water because they know that is what I drink, because I'm regular..... as normal I was given a basket of chips and salsa for the table... also as normal they did not replenish the salsa after I finished waiting for my friend(I have always been understanding of this). My friend came... he ordered his lunch... we talked.... and then I was given a bill for 3.01 for "chips and salsa"! I was not given a refill for my drink... I was not given any extra salsa(nor have I ever been) ..... my friend had to ASK for more chips for his meal....I ate at most 8 tortilla chips and you charged me 3.00 after giving you two regular customers that spend over 15.00 every week for 10 weeks straight. As the son of a restaurant owner I am dissatisfied with that level of customer care. Apparently my measly 2 tacos means nothing to you... by the way my measly 4.00-6.00 every week times 10 is 40.00-60.00.... I have given you 60.00 over the past 2 months alone.
