Classic rock ain't what it used to be. I guess a time capsule filled with the same couple hundred…read moresongs looping for all eternity is bound to get stale no matter what but the huge infusion of 80s and early 90s rock and pop rock really hasn't done crusty by design CSX any favors in my book. You're more likely to hear awful 80s Aerosmith than the vintage Stones they built their career off of ripping off back when they weren't horrible back in the 70s. You're more likely to hear Bon Jovi than The Who. And damnit, Gen X did we really need our own cringe worthy Stairway to Heaven in the Chili Peppers infernal ballad Under the Bridge and does the local classic rock station need to play it? Kurt Cobain would shoot himself if he came back from the dead to hear a rare Nirvana hit slipped into the mix on this station. The excess of 80s almost makes WCSX sound like WOMC stripped of anything funky or danceable. Good luck hearing anything by black people. I don't even know if they play Hendrix anymore. Sometimes they get in a decent groove and I might leave it on for 3 songs in a row but for every rare 80s win - Tom Petty's output from that era sounded pretty classic rock even back then - there's garbage like Bon Jovi. Seriously, fuck Bon Jovi! Why has that song Wanted Dead or Alive never gone away when so many great tunes from the past been totally memory holed? Nothing makes me hit another preset button faster than Bon Jovi coming on which happens entirely too often at CSX. It's barely hanging on at my number 6 preset. Play some deep cuts instead of the same overplayed garbage! Gimme Grand Funk, Blue Oyster Cult and the bands Homer Simpson waxed rhapsodically back in the 90s or maybe a bit of that 90s alternative he was exposed to back then, but can the 80s hair metal. (What used to be called pussy metal back then.) And I'm not sure why the bumpers have to proudly announce it as a Beasley Media Group station but thanks for reminding us who the corporate stooges who ruined this station are. I looked up WCSX under Spotify playlists and there's a couple based on what you're likely to hear these days and a bunch recreating what it used to be like with names like "What WCSX Used to be" "94.7 WCSX Rewind" and "94.7 WCSX - Purified". No matter what this station is nostalgia so might as well make it good nostalgia instead of playing Paradise City for the 10,000th time. And despite all this if Bob Seger's Night Moves comes on I'll be blissed out for 3 minutes and twenty seconds before Bon Jovi comes on to reawaken my endless disgust. Every time WCSX wants to play Bon Jovi they should just cut to commercials instead. It would be better.

WCSX this station is all to Dead, take this so called Rock Station to the nearest Graveyard to…read morebury. Can't play.same picks of groups 24/7 580 a.m. should be.f.m.
